About the adventure
BEGINNER FRIENDLY! This table is open to both first-time adventurers and seasoned players. Candlekeep Mysteries is an anthology of adventures written by members of the Dungeons & Dragons community. Each adventure begins, to some degree, in Candlekeep, an enormous library located on the Sword Coast in the Forgotten Realms. Prepare to engage with a myriad of creatures, tricky traps, and chase dreams of glory as you explore the many hidden secrets throughout the realms.

About me
Hello There! My name is Alex (they/them). I'm an educator, an actor, and a TTRPG writer. I've been running D&D Campaigns for a little under five consecutive years (one of the only good things to pick up again during the VID-19) and I've been a player in a myriad of campaigns for seven. Given my unique outlook on D&D and all things roleplay heavy, I do my best to cater sessions to the skill level of my players. Games are devised to match your speed! If you want a battle-heavy, war-torn world, I've got you. Need a beach episode or a shopping spree? Absolutely. Something with an easier pace that's more reliant on your roleplaying skills? Say no more, I've got you covered. This can be done independently or during Session Zero if you need/want assistance with character creation. Want me to try and incorporate player lore? Type up a backstory on Google Docs and send it my way! I'd love to work with you on that.

Preparing for the session
Please ensure you have a Discord and Roll20 account! Webcams and Mics built-in to your laptop are more than fine. You are more than welcome to get a jumpstart on creating your character!

How Alex creates a safe table
I will provide a document for players to fill out about their boundaries within the game. All answers will be kept anonymous unless you wish to share. Game decisions will be reiterated at the start of session 1 and may be amended at any time to help maintain player safety. Instant messages are welcomed and encouraged! Tell me the moment something happens if it bothers/triggers you so I can change it. I am more than happy to adapt as we go. Session Zero will be character-building first, followed by how your group meets each other and the start of the adventure. Sessions will be $20 (Roughly $6.50/hour). Every session has a built-in debrief where we will go over points of the session, talk about any questions you may have, and discuss the schedule for the next game.
