About the adventure

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist Your adventure begins in the grand city of Waterdeep, a bustling metropolis known for its towering spires, vibrant markets, and secretive factions. Word has spread that a vast hidden treasure lies somewhere within the city’s limits. As adventurers, you find yourselves in pursuit of this treasure, navigating the city’s politics, forming alliances (or rivalries) with influential groups, and uncovering hidden plots. The treasure hunt takes you through the city's many districts, where each decision can affect the balance of power. As you dig deeper into the mystery, you'll have to outwit enemies, solve puzzles, and survive dangerous encounters. Whether or not you claim the treasure is up to you—and your skill. Dungeon of the Mad Mage Once the treasure hunt ends, rumors of a legendary dungeon beneath the city start to catch your ear. The Yawning Portal, a famous inn in Waterdeep, is the gateway to Undermountain, a sprawling dungeon created by the mysterious and eccentric wizard known as the Mad Mage. Venturing into the dungeon promises glory, riches, and magical wonders, but also extreme dangers. Each level of the dungeon has its own unique challenges, secrets, and strange inhabitants. The further you descend, the more you’ll learn about the Mad Mage’s strange mind and the powerful forces that dwell beneath Waterdeep.
