About the adventure
The stories of our past help guide our future - or at least that is what we have been led to believe. Through the spoken ideal and the spark within all of us, we must gather ourselves to face the dangers ahead. Come, my friends, for on the edge of nothing will our words become power and our wills our blade! To the echoes beyond that which was foretold! Join me on a bespoke adventure that starts with the Bridge Nine series and continues forward to wherever the party wills it to go. Inspired by the Stormlight Archives book series, this story will see elements from the books, the adventures that will be released within the Cosmere RPG game, and my own creations as you delve further into your characters' stories and objectives. A few notes on this game: - You do not need to know any previous lore of the series - I am a narrative over mechanic style person, so please don't feel restricted to the options in the system.

About me
Some dragons hoard gold. Others hoard gemstones. While I never will turn down such hoards, I hoard stories - a hoard that grows with each passing day. As a long-term roleplay writer, I enjoy creating new stories and curating prewritten ones to fit the tone or purpose of my stories, parties, and games. I have been type-roleplaying for many years, being part of the forum roleplay groups back in the age of Gaia Online and other similar groups. Since then, I have been writing posts that expressed the inner workings, the active actions, and the pointed conversations of hundreds of complex characters. This is only amplified when compiling them together to form a story that is reactive and interactable from a group seeking the next dawn. I have a corgi familiar named Fenrir who often enjoys giving me the Help action and is a mini-celebrity amongst my players, often having a related npc or party pet that represents Fenrir and his antics. I value narrative context and will do my best to fit the mechanics to the narrative you want. This has led me to curating and crafting custom content - often referred to as homebrew - for several games, players, and even other game masters. I do my best to not include AI generated imagery in my live games, choosing to not use such images for advertisement and actively replacing any edge/unknown cases with commissioned pieces, and often support growing artists in my communities. I also do not use AI in any of my play-by-post messages. This provides a raw experience to my creative inspirations.

Creating your character
Character creation will be handled during session 0. For midgame joiners - we will have a private paid one on one session to determine your character and the events that led up to them meeting the party.
Flexible in-it-for-the-long-run players delving into a forge your own story adventure. If you want to learn and play in an epic campaign to breathe life into a doomed world, this is your game! Current Events: After the information gathered at the temple, the party is sent off on a peace attempt with the Parshendi, heading to a nearby mountain range where an outpost might be. This "attempt" is clearly one that no one in higher power either believes or wants to be successful with the supplies and men they are granted to brave the wilderness of the Shattered Plains. The party discovers an ancient city further into the mountains where Parshendi still live, though now it is mostly abandoned, likely due to the war. With some luck in rescuing the elder's child from a whitespine attack moments earlier, the party is allowed to discuss their opinions with the elder. They are informed that they need to prove themselves physically and not just with words. The party is sent off with Valexa, a nimbleform singer whom the party had met multiple times now, to go find the Keeper of Songs, someone who has been missing for a year in the chasms searching for their child whom they thought had died in combat for a gemheart. Current Party - Level 5: - Sargent Thel of Sadeas's Army - Ranged Soldier Tal of Sadeas's Army, under Thel - Darys the Iri Diplomat - Narash the Singer Gemheart Researcher - Mahad the Azish Duelist Scholar - Open
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need: - access to discord (free) - roll20/demiplane access (free) - access to some way to listen to me Players are encouraged but not required to have the following: - eager knowledge of the stormlight archive lore - access to demiplane for easier character creation assistance If you don't have the above, I just encourage you to be eager to learn a new setting and new system. Players are not required to use a mic in my sessions if they don't wish to use it. However, communication via text will be required in this case. VTT usage will be discussed during session 0.

How Onyx (Megan) creates a safe table
Safety Details Safety will first be discussed on session 0, but I ask that you contact me with any lines or veils you may have in a general sense so I know what to avoid in the story telling. This is a bespoke adventure, so some concepts may come up on the fly based on party actions. If anything may be potentially triggering even if no one had mentioned it thus far, it will be handled prior to explaining that scene. I run Avrae in my discord for safety purposes through the use of the Safety Tools workshop alias so if anything comes up you are not interested in, let me know! All players will be given a private channel to discuss lines/veils prior to session 0 if you do not have time to talk to me during an office hours session beforehand.
