About the adventure
A threat not seen in eons is arising, old alliances are changing, and the realm will need brave adventurers to stand up and fight for those who can’t protect themselves. The Queen of Chromatic Dragons, Tiamat, has a mind to escape her long imprisonment, and has ample supporters to help her do so. Can you stop them? This will be the Tyranny of Dragons campaign, for levels 1-15.

About me
I started playing DnD in 1984 or so, but pretty much stopped playing in the mid-90s (“adulting” happened I guess!). Passion for the fantasy genre (as a broad category of interest) never changed however, and over the past few years I’ve found myself back in the DnD world, at first as a player in several campaigns, to wind up being a full-time DM! I have a great passion for DnD, and bring that to the table always!

Creating your character
Starting at level 1, any race/class eligible (as long as it is unlocked on DND beyond, I have most of the main books). We can go over background in session 0, however, I like to have an immersive environment and have the background and backstory actually mean something. I hope to draw elements from them for each of the players, into the game. No need to have an idea yet though, we can discuss it, but if you have an idea, I can’t wait to hear it!
We are using 2014 rules. Games will be every Monday night 10pm EST -- two spots open, currently level 5 -- join this fun group now! Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation. Breathe, dragons; sing then of Sardior, ruby-red jewel they made in their likeness; Sardior, first-born of dragonkind, labored alongside Bahamut and Tiamat, Shaping the dragons they crafted: dragons metallic and dragons chromatic. Breathe, dragons—draw in the life-gift breathed into you at the dawn of creation. Breathe, dragons; sing of the outsiders, war-bringer gods with their mortal adherents; Teeming, they came to the First World, seeking a home for their legions of followers. Mighty in magic and numbers, conquering deities seized their victory. Fallen was noble Bahamut, Sardior hid in the heart of creation. Breathe, dragons; sing now of Tiamat, raging in battle with no hope of victory. She would not flee or surrender, fighting as death reached its cold claws toward her. War-bringers seized her and bound her, snatched her from death, entombed her in torment— Sealed in the darkness forever, captive to gods laying claim to creation. Breathe, dragons; sing of the conquest, seeding the world with their legions of followers, Each to their own habitation, elves in their forests and dwarves in their mountains, Orcs in their caverns and canyons, goblins in badlands and halflings in green fields, Lizardfolk lurking in marshes, humans throughout every part of creation. Breathe, dragons; sing of Bahamut, maker of peace with the outsider deities, Welcomed to mountains celestial, worshiped by some as the Platinum Paladin. Sing of his journeys of seeking, striving to understand gods and their children, Longing for Tiamat’s freedom, grieving her loss from the face of creation. Breathe, dragons; sing of her freedom— Tiamat loosed from her prison of torment! Tell how she rallied her children, dragons chromatic, a spectrum of mayhem. Sing of her fury, her vengeance, lightning and venom, ice, fire, and corrosion, Five-headed, monstrous, and mighty, rampaging on a campaign of destruction. Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, scattered in infinite seedling realities. Sing of Bahamut and Tiamat, watching its sundering, mourning their labor. Sing too of Sardior, sundered, consciousness scattered in minuscule fragments. Breathe, dragons: you are inheritors, ruling the wreck of the First World’s destruction. Let's go, it'll be fun! The goal is to integrate your character, and immerse you so well that you can't wait to come back the following week. There is an option for the group to also slow things down, and move to bi-monthly sessions (or some other variant at the groups discretion, I'm very flexible!).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You’ll only need Discord with a microphone, and a DND Beyond account. It’s easiest to play on a computer with a headset but as long as we can hear you clearly that’s the most important thing!

How Bink Plank / Chorash aka DM Christian the Distantly in Line creates a safe table
The most important rule is always being kind to each other, and being respectful of each other’s limits. I’m not easily offended, so I have next to nothing “off limits”, and as such, anything could be in my game. But if any players have a boundary/trigger/ set limit, simply tell me and I’ll absolutely respect it, no questions asked. Player safety and comfort is critical to me, as without it, we can’t have fun. Session 0 we can go over this, and anything else you might need to enjoy playing this game!
