About me

I started playing DnD in 1984 or so, but pretty much stopped playing in the mid-90s (“adulting” happened I guess!). Passion for the fantasy genre (as a broad category of interest) never changed however, and over the past year I’ve found myself back in the DnD world, at first as a player in several campaigns, and now, also as a DM. I have a great passion for DnD, and bring that to the table!

GM style

I enjoy encouraging and allowing players to have autonomy to do whatever they wish. I like having lots of maps, generating them for most scenes, interweaving homebrew content within official campaigns via (sometimes) hard to find easter eggs, creating a static/permanent world, and I enjoy a good balance of combat and roleplay. I like to foster epic style of play, but while maintaining as much realism as possible. I like the narrative to make sense as much as possible, and I enjoy fully immersing characters into the world re: backstory, including creating tokens and maps for homes, friends, family, allies, rivals etc., whatever you envision; you may never meet them, or you will if you wish to, but either way, they are "existing" in the world (and you may see them when you least expect, or least desire to). I encourage players to develop downtime activities (eg. learn a new tool, start up a business for passive income). You can be as detailed or as vague as you like with all of it! My goal is to hook you into my universe so that you never want to leave. Risk of death however, is very real, so, be prepared to have solutions, or a re-roll!
