Creating your character

You may play a 2024-build character, or 2014-build character! The choice is up to you, and we have both options. So either the new Player's Handbook or the older one! ╭──────────.★..─╮ Characters ╰─..★.──────────╯ 🔹 Your PC must have a reason to serve the Dragon Queen and collaborate with the group. 🔹 Start at Level 5. 🔹 Use either the point-buy (27 points) or the standard array for ability scores. 🔹 All characters will receive one free feat, with variant humans and custom lineages receiving an additional free uncommon magic item instead of their racial feat. 🔹 Choose one rare magic item, two uncommon magic items, and two common magic items from any WotC source. 🔹 Start with 500 gold and starting equipment. 🔹 You may choose from all races, classes, backgrounds, and other PC options in any officially released D&D 5e product. (See below for custom/homebrew/third-party/unearthed arcana). 🔹 You are also free to use content specific to the Dragonlance setting and the War of the Lance era. 🔹 Yes, you can play Draconians! Baaz, Kapak, Sivak, Bozak, or Aurak only. Get ahold of me for the ancestry features. 🔹 Chromatic dragon characters are allowed. Enigma only asks that you speak with him one-on-one about it. He will tweak it for the sake of balance and making the game fun and fair for all. Preparing for the session

This is an asynchronous play-by-post game played by Discord with the Avrae bot. This means that posts will be made throughout the week; it's to the pace of the group. All playing will be done by text, making things accessible for those who aren't able to use voice. I will update at least daily. You will get to experience the story and the roleplay, while also learning about--or getting more experience with--play-by-post format and Avrae. You do not need to know Avrae, or any of the other tools. I can teach you. What Dreams & Eni brings to the table

Enigma, your DM, provides an incredible experience, with the help of various tools about 20 years of experience with text roleplay. His games include: 🔹 Working one-on-one with you to weave your character backstory in and make this a unique experience. 🔹 Adding his own twist to the story and accounting for character actions and interactions. This is not a static world, and the echoes of the party's choices will be seen. 🔹 Giving characters boons and magic items and scaling up monsters to make combat engaging and challenging. Monsters will not hold back, but the DM will root for your success. 🔹 Creating NPCs with motivations and personalities, who may help or hinder the player characters. Maintain friendships, rivalries, make enemies or even potentially lovers (with consent). 🔹 Customized heroic rivals that will try to oppose the party at every turn. 🔹 Additional monsters from Kobold Press, Level Up 5E, Monster Manual Expanded, 2CGaming, etc 🔹 Custom (homebrew) content and systems from the DM and third-parties. 🔹 Pre-generated characters or concepts, in case you do not wish to create your own Dreams will bring: 🔹 Their knowledge of Avrae VTT, which they will teach players wanting to learn 🔹 Their resources, which they share with Enigmatic And of course we will bring dragons. Homebrew rules

🔷 Healing Potions can be done as a Bonus action or a full action. Main action confers full amount to you or a friend. 🔷 Scrolls - Arcana DC is 10 + spell level 🔷 Critical Hit/Fumble tables (if agreed to be used by the group) can only happen to a character once per round. 🔷 Smite is not a bonus action, it is a free action.

How Dreams & Eni creates a safe table

This is an evil campaign set in a dark and gritty world. Players will serve Takhisis, the Dragon Queen, and engage in ruthless and morally complex missions. The characters will have the opportunity to rise through the ranks and potentially become Highlords themselves. Throughout the campaign, they will interact with iconic figures such as Kitiara and Lord Soth. Please be prepared for mature themes and intense role-playing situations. 🌶️ Adult (18+) Game!
