About the adventure
Welcome to "Echoes of Fate," a Dungeons & Dragons campaign that will take you on an epic journey through the mystical lands of Faerûn. As adventurers, you'll be drawn together by the enigmatic powers of the Deck of Many Things, an ancient artifact of immense and unpredictable power. Each of you holds a piece of this legendary deck, whether you know it or not, and these pieces have begun to influence your destiny in ways you cannot yet understand. Your quest begins in the small, bustling town of Crosshaven, located at the convergence of several major trade routes. Here, in this seemingly ordinary place, you'll soon discover that fate has much more in store for you than you ever imagined. The pieces you hold are keys to unlocking secrets that stretch back through the annals of time and magic. As you venture forth, you'll explore ancient ruins, bustling cities, and mysterious forests. You'll meet allies who will fight by your side and enemies who seek to manipulate the very threads of fate for their own ends. Your actions will have consequences, some more immediate and profound than others, as the very fabric of reality begins to respond to the echoes of the powerful artifact in your possession. Prepare to make decisions that will not only shape your own lives but potentially the future of Faerûn itself. Will you use the power of the Deck to try to create a better world, or will the allure of such power lead you down a darker path? Gather your wits, ready your weapons, and prepare for a journey where your choices mean everything. The fate of the world may well rest in your hands. Welcome to "Echoes of Fate," where your adventure begins now.

About me
I am a 32-years-old, Everyone calls me V-vo and I have always loved fantasy. When I was a kid I read the legend of Drizzt books and didn't even know then that it was all related to dungeons and dragons until way later in life. In the last few years, I have completely fallen for D&D, ever since I saw the very first session of Critical Role. I enjoy running games and creating a fun experience for my players. I do all that I can to create the best experience for all my players and to deliver a great engrossing story for them to explore. How I run the game The aim of the game is for all involved to have fun. This never comes at the expense of someone else’s, so my main focus point when running the game will always be to ensure everyone leaves at the end of a session feeling satisfied. I usually communicate with players between sessions, to judge the feeling for the campaign, and to gather feedback etc. The rule of cool I am a firm believer in the rule of cool and generally quite relaxed and open about going slightly outside the book rules. However, the rule of thumb is to assume the book rules take president unless we have spoken and agreed otherwise. “I follow the rules when they make sense, sometimes rules are made to be broken”.

Creating your character
All done through DnDBeyond and then imported into FoundryVTT. **RULES** 1. **Ability Scores:** Players can generate their character’s ability scores using one of the following methods: - **Point Buy:** Use the point buy system from the Player’s Handbook, allocating 27 points. 2. **Character Level:** Characters will start at 3rd level. This allows for the choice of a subclass and provides a more developed character backstory. 3. **Races and Classes:** All races and classes available on D&D Beyond are permitted, as long as the character’s alignment is not evil. 4. **Feats:** Each character is allowed to select one feat during this campaign. Feats must be approved by the Dungeon Master. Consider the implications of the feat for game balance and narrative coherence. 5. **No Multiclassing:** Characters are not permitted to multiclass during this campaign. This will help maintain focus on the core class features and simplify character development. 6. **Hit Points:** Calculate hit points based on the chosen class. At 1st level, characters get maximum hit points from their class’s hit die. For levels 2 and 3, roll the class’s hit die or take the average as specified in the class description (usually rounded up). 7. **Equipment:** Start with the starting equipment provided by your class and background. Additional equipment can be purchased with starting gold as determined by the class. 8. **Background:** Choose a background that fits your character’s history and skills. Each background provides additional proficiencies, languages, and equipment. 9. **Alignment:** Alignments must not be evil. Characters should have alignments that support cooperative gameplay and contribute positively to the group dynamics. 10. **Spells and Abilities:** Make sure to select spells and class abilities appropriate to a 3rd level character. Pay special attention to the rules and limitations set by your class and race. 11. **Approval and Character Sheets:** Once your character is created, submit the character sheet to the Dungeon Master for approval, ensuring that all elements align with the campaign’s rules and themes.
