About the adventure
A strange map shows a road where no road exists. During solstices, the road appears and stretches in an impossible direction to a mysterious destination. Today, a member of your party has received a copy of the map from a larger than life patron in need of a team to delve into the Underdark in search of deposits of rare magical crystal and map the route so miners can retrace it. The reward? 10,000 gold to be dispersed amongst the party upon completion. Sounds like no big deal, right? Inspired by the tales of might Jotunheim of Norse mythology, Jack’s beanstalk-climbing giant, and the other gargantuan figures who have left their enormous footprints on the history of the lore of Faerûn, Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants is a campaign about tall tales, great deeds, and Dungeons and Dragons on a grand scale. Jump back 30,000 years in Faerûn’s history to a time when giants still ruled as gods from their floating cities and high mountain halls. Play as a creature big or small in a time of great uncertainty and shape the history of Faerûn for centuries to come! Extreme violence, warfare, historical apocalyptic events, political intrigue, and a magical plague will all play their part in the narrative and as such, the campaign will feature an ‘R’ rating and require a completed safety session with the Game Master and a completed Lines/Veils document in order to engage in subsequent play. Players can expect a 60% roleplay, 40% combat split. This campaign is ongoing and will consist of weekly three to four hour sessions. Inspirations/Sources: God of War, Grimm Fairy Tales, Norse mythology of the Jotun

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi! I’m Abadonne Darlington D’Artagnan Kilbride, IV and I would absolutely love to run a game for you. I’m a creature of myth, Gorgon of old, TTRPG streamer, writer, creator, and Founder at Exquisite Corpse Presents: A Home For Unusual Stories . In the effort to become the confessional poet of tabletop role playing I write, produce, and run Say a Prayer for California: Sister Cities, a post-apocalyptic dystopian DnD 5e homebrew, and La Naissance D'Une Reine, a Thirsty Sword Lesbians homebrew set in the years following the death of King Arthur. I’m a founding cast member of Blackness and Dragons and has appeared on Going Critical RPG as Loset Lee, Lore Everlasting as Petra Pellucid and Siddalee Ware, and on the fully-crowdfunded A Tale of Two Lions hosted by @AnoriandGD. My written work can be found in BeNeverending’s anthology, Anansi’s Tapestry of Lives, and my confessional chapbook Styx River Anthology is available on Bandcamp.

Creating your character
Character creation will take place during session zero, which will require a DnDBeyond account to create your character sheet! While we’ll be using Bigby Presents primarily, we’ll have access to the entire 5E suite of sourcebooks to allow for versatility in character builds! We will begin at level one and work our way allll the way up the latter as we build a narrative tailored to your brave adventuring party, so don’t worry if you’re new to the process!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Character creation will take place during session zero, but in order to come prepared players will need: - Discord - A DnDBeyond account - DnD 5E Player’s Handbook - 1 set of 7-sided polyhedral dice (digital dice ok) - Webcam - Microphone
What Abadonne brings to the table
Along with D&DBeyond access to digital content I will provide battle and exploration maps that are both handmade and from popular sources, implement homebrewed source materials into our narrative, provide meaningful NPC relationships that allow player characters to progress, campaign playlists and visual aids, combine existing lore with personal player character lore, and whatever else I can to create a safe space where your imagination can run wild! It’s also entirely optional, but should your group decide I absolutely encourage costumes, playlists, and whatever else you’d like me to know about your character as prep!

How Abadonne creates a safe table
Players can expect to be sent a link to the Monte Cook RPG Lines & Veils document, which we will go over as a group during Session 0. X/N/O cards can be utilized visually over Discord or in chat at any time (for the sake of commonality we will be using the 'Traffic Light' red-yellow-green system, but these terms can be called out or held up with a card in a corresponding color), and this table is an open table so should you need to leave for any reason please feel empowered to do so, with or without explanation. That being said, I invite you to reach out to me personally and express your concerns to see if I can address them at or above the table - my priority as the facilitator of this game is your fun, so please feel free to let me know how I can help you tell the story you want to tell. PLEASE NOTE that the above Content Warnings tagged are listed with regard to anything that *might* come up or perhaps be an element of a darker setting - our session zero will determine the content warnings specific to your party and your level of comfort.
