About the adventure
Welcome to Waterdeep, a city of commerce, trade, and everything in-between. There is a job for everyone and everyone has a job, those without work will find it whether they want to or not. Here in Waterdeep, there are plenty of guilds and professions to keep even the most inquisitive adventurer busy, but you're not here for the lights and glamor of the upper-city. No, you're here on the call to adventure, looking for your next big quest for success. If you can survive the perils of the city and get in with the head honchos of the guilds, you will find riches and fame not far behind. Will you make your mark or will you uncover more than you desire? This story is using the Waterdeep dragon heist module, with heavy expansions on the city of Waterdeep with opportunities for deep roleplay. While there will be combat, this module is much more roleplay and exploration focused, so be prepared to talk yourself into success.

Additional details
How to prepare
Players will need to join the discord server and let me know their usernames so I can apply the correct roles. Players will also need a mic, computer, and working internet access to play the game. If a player makes their character on D&D Beyond, I can import that character into FoundryVTT.
What I provide
I bring a wealth of music to help set the mood and ambiance. I also bring my map tools to bring the maps to life, with items and designs fitting for the setting. I am an experienced storyteller and have trained my creative thinking, allowing me to craft grand scenario on the fly, while still adhering to the overall story of the game. I am a rules-light GM who is very ok with Rule of Cool. I enjoy creating memorable moments rather than sticking to a set of rules that, in my opinion, are designed to impede player creativity.
Gameplay details
Players can expect a rules light game focused on heavy roleplay and exploration, with a decent smidge of combat. My rules for exploring, roleplaying, and combat in D&D 5e are a bit different than Rules as Written. These changes help keep the game at a better pace while also allowing for more player agency and action in scenes. I want players in my games to feel like the heroes of the story so I ensure that is done to the best of my ability. For safety tools, there is a link to a Lines and Veils doc on the discord server that is necessary to join to play the game, along with instructions for what to do. My X, N, & O's are digital, using either discord or foundry VTT as the location to show them. During session 0, expect an overview of my rule differences for the 5e system, finalizing character creation, coming up with a reason for everyone to adventure together, and to have a intro session that sets up the campaign. During the session 0, we will also go over player and GM expectations for the game.
