About the adventure
Looking for an immersive experience with HD maps, voice acting, and music pumped in to drive the mood? Look no further! In this adventure for 3-5 players starting at lvl 1. I have painstakingly remade every single map for Dungeons of Drakkenheim using the beautiful Dungeon Alchemist map maker. Each map has been populated in FoundryVTT to deliver an immersive experience just for you! New players, veteran players... doesn't matter! All are welcome! Can you overcome the haze? About me
Welcome, Adventurer! My name is Josh AKA The Dark Mage, and I'm here to deliver you one hell of a game! I have been DMing virtually on a wonderful discord community for a bit over a year now. After a few months, I noticed something crazy happen. Whenever I opened a new game, I had a good chunk of the server looking to be in one of my games. I seem to have an unofficial waitlist for games opening up. After several months, people started commenting that I should be getting paid for all the work I do homebrewing my games, and consistently delivering solid sessions. So, here I am! (I may also be in need of additional income) What makes me different? Well you see, I am a goofball. But in all seriousness, I spend the majority of my sessions in character. I give each NPC a personality, and voice act them, RPing with you to drive us deeper into immersion. I strive for realism, so rules are more of guidelines when considering immersion. I make heavy use of battlemaps, animations, and music in Foundry VTT. I do my best to utilize Theatre of the mind as little as possible, giving you visual aids wherever possible. Most importantly, I have some pretty amazing custom adventures coming up later this year! (As well as an original TTRPG) I strive to deliver consistently exciting games that you will talk about for years to come!

Creating your character
I am all for creativity! You are more than allowed to create your character ahead of Session 0. However, if you need help, I will assist you during Session 0. I allow for 3 sets of ability scores to be rolled, and you may choose the best set. Feats are allow, and I always allow players to take max health. I do not restrict character creation, if it is available to you in the D&DBeyond campaign, you may use it. I do recommend reading up on the factions of Drakkenheim. Once you join, You will get an invite to join my discord server, where I will provide all the links you will need for character creation and planning.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a computer with the minimum specification requirements for FoundryVTT, reliable internet, a good set of headphones, and I always recommend a trusty mic. You do not need to have your character ready ahead of Session 0, but I do recommend giving a read into the setting of Drakkenheim.
What Joshk brings to the table
I will be providing the game through Foundry VTT, which will have all remade HD maps, tokens, music and animations! I utilize a lot of voice acting, and when it is time for RP, I will bring these characters to life for you to interact with. Rule of Cool better describes my DMing style, however, logic plays a huge factor into that. If you can explain to me how it can happen via means accessible to you in the world with logic or magic, I will allow it! I put a ton of time into prepping my games. In this world with political intrigue, the factions will not be waiting for you to make a move. The world continues to spin, the factions continue to make moves. They will respond to your actions, both good, and bad, to keep you challenged, engaged, and bring the world to life.
