About the adventure

Greetings True Believers! "Death Comes To Westchester" is a spooky one-shot adventure set in the world of the recent Disney+ smash hit "X-Men '97" and using Marvel's recently released Marvel Multiverse RPG! Using official pre-generated character sheets, players will take on the role of one of the merry mutants (i.e. the X-Men) as they are pitted against a threat unlike anything they ever faced on Saturday morning! It's October 31, 1997, a year that has (SPOILER ALERT) been a rough one for the dynamic denizens of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. Surely Halloween is a time when our heroes can sit back and relax with some cheesy horror videos, right? ...NOT!!!

How to prepare

Players will need a webcam and microphone, as well as logins for Roll20 and Discord. Having seen the "X-Men '97" tv show on Disney+ is beneficial, but not required.

What I provide

Your narrator brings 30 years of near-encyclopedic knowledge and love of the Marvel Universe, part of which started with 1992's "X-Men: The Animated Series"! In addition to gamemastering, he is one of the co-hosts of the "TOMB OF IDEAS: A MARVEL HORROR PODCAST", so that's the comics and horror knowledge boxes ticked. On the gameplay side of things, I have full access to the Marvel Multiverse RPG books on Demiplane and Roll20, with a Master account for the latter. I host detailed battle maps on Roll20 and provide ambience and sound effects through the video chat, which is hosting through my Discord.

Gameplay details

I use the stoplight system in my games. Players will display a green icon in chat to show that they are fine with the way the game is progressing. Yellow if they're fine for the moment, but are starting to get uncomfortable and wish me to adjust or move on quickly from the current scene. A red icon will signify that the player is extremely uncomfortable and needs a hard stop and/or adjustment to the current scene.
