About the adventure
In the far-flung port town of Saltmarsh, the fisherfolk and smugglers fear little, but even the old salts won't go anywhere near the abandoned house on the old coast road. Its mysterious occupant disappeared two decades ago, and tales of what awaits inside have spiraled in the time after. Some say it holds an evil alchemist's secret treasure, but the few foolhardy enough to explore it have never returned. Recently, horrible shrieks and eerie lights have been witnessed coming from the house, perched on a sheer seaside cliff. Will you be the one to solve the mystery once and for all? 🌊 Nautical horror and high seas adventure! 🏚️ Explore the seedy port town of Saltmarsh and its haunted house! 🏴☠️ Swashbuckle! 🧭 Navigate through mysteries and intrigue! ⚓️ Play with a DM who worked on a historic tall ship! This is an episodic campaign beginning at 1st level. The first episode will take players from level 1-3. Players can choose to continue to the next episode, and new players are welcome to join later in the game!

I’ve been playing TTRPGs for over a decade and have been a GM/DM for 9 years, running games online here on SPG, at bar events, game stores, and board game clubs in NYC, and at many lovely home tables far and wide! I love creating roleplay-rich tables that are safe, respectful, and inclusive to all. Fostering an environment of safety, mutual respect, curiosity, and fun is deeply important to me. I focus on creating games for my queer community and all folks of marginalized experience, but I GM for everyone who is down to take care of each other and play! Character creation materials will be shared prior to Session 0. It would be great if you came to the table with: -A level one character (all published materials permitted, please ask about homebrew or UA content before building into your character) -Basic answers to the provided character creation questions (will be sent when you sign up) Please note: If you’ve never built a D&D character before, and/or would like some help, let me know! I'd be happy to walk you through it! During Session 0, we will: -Review table rules and housekeeping -Finalize character stats -Determine the relationships between player characters -Ask/answer any questions that remain

How Jett creates a safe table
All players must complete a content and safety survey prior to participation (link sent with game materials after signup). While this is an official published adventure, content will be customized to respect the boundaries and needs of the players who join. CONTENT NOTE: I tried to be exhaustive in choosing content tags for events that *may* occur during gameplay. It doesn't mean these things *must* occur. Please know that all content is negotiable and I'm open to editing and omitting any content that isn't ok for players. If you're interested in the game but wary of one of these content tags, please message me and we'll chat about it! Breaks will be built in hourly, but players are welcome to step away from the table any time they need to for any reason. We'll use the X card technique to call pauses in gameplay when needed, and will use the Luxton Technique to make sure we handle discomfort and tough situations in a way that is supportive to player needs. (Summary of Luxton Technique will be provided in writing and discussed during Session 0).
