About the adventure

Borderline Comics Presents: Frontier City - The Next Generation! The Dark Age of Heroes has begun, and faith in our heroes has never been lower. As a young hero, you will have to work hard to protect a city that does not necessarily want you to help them, all while balancing your civilian life! This campaign will explore ideas of hope and fear, prioritizing the greater good in the face of resistance, and what it means to be a hero. Play in a living world with almost 100 years of backstory, all condensed into an easy to read 2 page document. Will you be the Scion of villainous origins? The Newborn artificial creation? The Soldier trained to lead? The Janus pulled between two lives? Or something else entirely?

About me

Hello lovely people, my name is Rowan (none/they); professional writer, educator, and GM with over a dozen years of experience across a variety of systems and genres. Fantasy, horror, and superheroes are my bread and butter, but I've been know to dip my toes in the scifi and steam/eco/cyber/diesel punk pools here and there. Safety tools are mandatory for all games, and I will not tolerate those who do not make space for marginalized peoples. With that said, I can't wait to see you at my table!

Character creation
Creating your character

I will provide digital versions of the various game books beforehand, so you can start getting ideas. When we meet for session 0 we'll make our characters together, and establish our bonds as well as how the team first formed.

The current party

If anybody is interested in playing but cost is a prohibitive factor please DM me, I'm happy to work something out. The most important thing to me is just playing the game.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

You will need a mic and webcam (webcam optional). You'll get an invite to a discord server where we can plan and communicate outside of game, and store relevant resources.

What Rowan brings to the table

I have digital copies of all MASKS books that I will provide, a discord server, and google meets for game time. I'll also have a Roll20 for keeping track of character sheets (though you are more than free to use your own physical dice).

Safety
How Rowan creates a safe table

We will discuss lines and veils during Session 0, and they will be posted in the discord. Lines and Veils are a living document and can be updated at any time. You are free to come and go from the table as you need, but please let us know when you leave if you're not using a camera.
