About the adventure
💫 JOURNEY TO THE CITY OF SONG At its height, the city of Myth Drannor was the capital of Cormanthyr and the pinnacle of elven culture and civilization. Now reduced to ruins after centuries of wars with demons and the feared Netherese Empire, the elves wish to reclaim their ancestral heritage. Many factions are interested in what can be found in the ancient city, and some old enemies may arise. However, the magic that powered and protected the city still remains, though corrupted and volatile, and the Cormanthor Forest itself is home to many wonders and dangers alike. 💫 FOR HISTORY AND LORE LOVERS Lost Tales of Myth Drannor is originally a set of Adventurers League modules that I will weave together into a cohesive campaign. The campaign will draw from them, but will keep into the contained "story" of an elf-sponsored excavation into the ruins of Myth Drannor. Think Indiana Jones...except in Faerun. If you enjoy elven and Netherese lore, this is the story for you. 💫 CAMPAIGN DETAILS The campaign isn't intended to be super long, perhaps a few months at most. Sessions will be every two weeks, or depending on everyone's availability. The campaign will not be 100% faithful to the material as I will be changing things to better suit the characters, but the overarching story will be the same. Though it will have the foundation of Lost Tales of Myth Drannor, the rest will be built around the characters themselves.

About me
I've been playing D&D 5e for about 9 years now! Professionally, I am a content editor for some mobile apps and games, and I organize and do social media / marketing for D&D Adventurers League events as well. DM-ing gives me a lot of creative freedom to tell stories, and that's my priority when it comes to the games that I run. I am also a Gold ENnie-award winning adventure writer! My focus is usually on character development and character-driven narratives. I like stories that have dramatic revelations and can show much a character can change from the beginning to the end, and I love delving deep and helping players develop their characters' stories from their origins to their endgame. When I run hardcover adventures, I usually tweak the story to better fit the characters playing. I also add little touches to one-shots so players can be more invested in the story, even if it's just for a session! I also like including lore for those who are interested in the particular setting of the game. If you're looking to hire me to run something, I can craft a specific sort of adventure for you! Just let me know what setting you're interested in and what kind of adventure you're looking for! You can also pick the starting level and the kind of narrative you're after. One thing to note is that I absolutely love epic level games. Games for tier 3 and tier 4 are few and far between, but I'm not afraid to take a campaign to those levels and beyond. 💫 CHARACTER CREATION You will start at ⭐ LEVEL 10 ⭐ ✨ Ability scores will be rolled via the Avrae bot on Discord. (3 sets of stats, pick which one you like. Unless you don't have a total of 75, in which case you can do point buy.) ✨ Think of why you were hired by the expedition! ✨ What would draw you to the Cormanthor Forest? ✨ Additional feat at character creation! 📚 SOURCES FOR CHARACTER CREATION 📚 ✅ Published official sources (Ravenloft, Eberron, Bigby's, XGTE, TCOE, etc) ✅ Published 3rd party sources (Xanathar's Lost Notes, etc) ❓ If you have a specific character idea or concept, feel free to reach out to the DM! 🪙 STARTING GOLD AND MAGIC ITEMS 🪙 Remember that this is a campaign so you will encounter new things for your characters to have. Audio will be done over Discord in my private server, no cameras required.. There will be a specific category and channels for this campaign. Rolling and playing will be done over Roll20. (Please message me with your Discord usernames so I can send you the invite link to the server.)
What Marik the Dragon Queen brings to the table
I use a lot of art and online maps as visual representation on Roll20, and music to set a very immersive experience on discord. I always best to give the players a well-rounded experience of colorful RP, interesting puzzles, and stimulating combat! I will also be using and providing various 3rd party sources for character creation beyond PHB and official sources.

💫 SESSION ZERO Session 0 is FREE. We will discuss what you would like to see in the campaign and also any character beats you'd like to explore. Safety tools will also be brought up, and you can privately message me any potential triggers they wouldn't want in the game. 💫 SAFETY TOOLS We will be using the "x card" system, as well as a safety card deck installed in the Roll20 room. The content warnings were chosen to represent what can generally be mentioned in the campaign, but I will do my best to warn you before sessions if anything else occurs. Players will fill up a safety tool checklist and campaign expectations sheet as well to discuss lines, veils, and boundaries.
