About the adventure
This is the first of a series of campaigns written by GM, Xerx Ranstien for Avatar: Legends. Taking place in the Kyoshi era, our heroes begin in Omashu, and are tasked with finding a collection of ancient tomes relating to the underground of Ba Sing Se. Only a strong crew of adventurers can find the tomes, understand their significance, and stop a growing threat in the Earth Kingdom Capital.

About me
My friends and I started playing D&D a couple years after college. Since then, we’ve played countless campaigns of D&D, Avatar: Legends, and Zenith: Amongst Shadows. I began GM’ing about a year into playing, knowing I would love it, and I was right! I love world building and developing fun arcs for heroes to venture forth, but I also love adapting to the adventurers decisions. I have written 2 unique Avatar: Legends campaigns I would love to share with you! Beginner or Experienced adventurers are always welcome! I wish to promote family friendly gameplay, so I do ask for no cursing, no explicit/erotic gameplay, and no real life political discussion. Creating your character
Character creation will take place before the first session begins. I will send character sheets and info on each class, fighter type. I will be available to answer any questions before the first session. If groups want to coordinate character creation to avoid 4 water benders (e.g.), we can host a one hour Session 0 free of charge. Since this is the first of a collection of campaigns, I recommend each group begin with new heroes. Background can be your own creation or done in collaboration with me for the campaign. For example, when running this campaign with my friends, one hero chose to be the daughter of an NPC character in the campaign that added a lot of depth and drama to the story. If you have the Avatar: Legends rule book and Wan Shi Tong expansion book, we will be using the classes and rules from those books with little to no deviation (player discretion).
This is a family friendly campaign for adventurers looking to avoid cursing, lewd content, and real life political discourse. If you have any questions, please reach out!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
No webcam required, mic and free Discord account required. Stable internet connection expected. I will send PDF’s of needful info before Session 1. This campaign is beginner friendly so no other knowledge or experience necessary.
What Xerx Ranstien brings to the table
Will use the Foundry system with images for “scenes”. Also will do a “previously on Avatar” recap for each session start. I do character voices and adaptable gameplay. Will send character sheet PDF’s for chosen class along with PDF’s of basic attacks, general rules, and info on statuses, conditions, balance, moves, etc.

How Xerx Ranstien creates a safe table
Will be sending a detailed list of “Lines” and “Veils”. Breaks will be incorporated into the session. 1 break for a 2 hour session, 2 for a 4 hour session. Each break will last 5-10 minutes depending on player preference.
