About the adventure

The scraping sounds of metal echo through the barren red rock desert. Hapless wastelanders scavenge a downed corporate cargo drone to sell for dried kelp rations. Hired corpo mercenaries begin their hunt to find who's responsible for their missing haul, all while raiders watch and wait for the dirty work to be done to stake their claim on the engagement. Whose side will you be on when the bullets fly. When the radiation storms blow will you offer shelter to those left among the scrap, or will you return after to scavenge their remnants. And when the monstrous bio-titans track your scent, will you direct your colony to keep moving, or to stand and fight the radiated monsters of the wastes. What Is This? Mad Max + Mechs in its simplest form! In all seriousness, it's an introduction to Salvage Union, a rules lite, post apocalyptic mech TTRPG, with fast intense combat, and a focus on narrative play and decision making, this system balances a high speed combat system to keep the story moving, while still giving players tons of build options. Conceptually revolving around the players scavenging the wastes out of a moving colony ship. You will expand and manage the colony, explore the wastes, and survive the horrors of the apocalyptic environment. Aren't Mech games really complicated? Not this one, with incredibly streamlined action and combat rolls, this is one of the most simplistic systems I've ever played, making it INCREDIBLY beginner friendly and making this game a blast to run for players new to the genre. Premise: In a Post-Apocalyptic world where mechs are commonplace, so far beyond our known civilization that most do not know the earths downfall. The only cites are corporate arcologies, which projects the appearance of paradise, where in actuality all who live within the cities are forced into a life of servitude to live and die for the corporations. Living off the scraps of the land, scavengers, raiders and mutants alike fight for remnants of scrapyard technology to survive amongst the horrific environment and radiated monsters that hunt them. You resist these ways of life: As a Salvage Union Operating out of a walking colony land ship, these walking cities house up to thousands of people as their union directs them through the wastes. In this campaign, you will be playing as Mech Pilots with custom built scrapyard mechs who run the colony, often sent out on missions throughout the wasteland to search for scrap, and uncover the mysteries of the ruined world.

How will character creation work

Character creation will take place privately before the session, I'll make myself available sometime before the designated session start time in the discord server to allow for any first time players to comfortably make their character, while I provide a premise to the game, as well as go over any concerns. I also encourage people to send me a little backstory to work into the game if they're looking for a bit more connection to the setting.
