About the adventure
A Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far, Far Away... The year is 10 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), deep in the Outer Rim, lies the Smuggler's Moon. A dark twin of the planet Coruscant orbiting the capital world of the Hutts, the moon of Nar Shaada. Many come to Nar Shaada, perhaps looking for opportunity, or perhaps trying to escape something. Many refugees have come to Nar Shaada to escape the horrors and the death of the Clone Wars over 9 years ago from both former Republic and Separatist worlds. And even long after the war came to an end and the Republic was replaced with the Galactic Empire, these refugees still blame one another for the hard times they face now and what was lost then. The refuge sector is ruled by the Hutt Crime Lord, Jeruu the Hutt. A Hutt with an ever shortening temper and even shorter patience. Your group was under the employ of Jeruu. However, his worsening temper has led to him calling in his employees for "Meetings", and are never seen again. And with the rise of competition, it has only gotten worse. And now your group have all been summoned for Jeruu's "Meeting". Fearing the fate that may befall you, you instead go on the run, attempting to escape the wrath of Jeruu the Hutt, and building a future from the Smuggler's Moon. Whatever your reason for ending up on Nar Shaada, your future is now your own.

About me
Hello There! You can call me many different things! Gallant, Commander Hellreaper, Morgan LePenguin, Jadyn, and more! I have been GMing for the past 5 years running multiple Campaigns! Namely, I am running a Star Wars Alternate Universe using the Star Wars RPG by Fantasy Flight Games/Edge Studios. I own all three Core Rulebooks and all of the Sourcebooks. I run my games on Foundry VTT, using a Discord Server to talk with players. I have Wednesday through Sunday available for running games. When I run my games, I run them with the themes of the universe in question. Trying to create an experience being both unique while still being true to the feeling of the system/universe. I enjoy allowing my players to shape the Campaigns with their decisions. Allowing the players free will (but certainly not free from consequences!). Being open to discussion to find compromise whenever issues arrive. I like to give my games a feeling of being lived in. Using Worldbuilding to make the world feel real. Giving each NPC their own personalities. I like to use skills I've learned in writing fiction to help players feel connected to the game world. I hope you consider me for your games! And I am excited to share the experience of these games with you!

Creating your character
We will go over character creation on Foundry together. We can do so either before or during Session 0. However, due to the use of homebrewed material and a few custom rules, I ask that player do NOT use tools like Oggdude as it may not be reflective of how your character will look on Foundry when we go through Character Creation. We will be using all 3 Core Rulebooks and their associated rulebooks of Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, and Force and Destiny.
This Campaign, along with all of my other Star Wars Campaigns, are all part of a shared AU that I've established almost 4 years ago now. With bits of Canon, Legends, and Custom Material. For this Campaign, the players will be starting with 600 credits and will be using Edge of the Empire careers. We do, however, have access to all Core Rulebooks and Sourcebooks. Players do NOT require these books to play the game. A homebrew rule I use in character creation for my Star Wars Campaigns is to allow the players to gain access to all 4 specialization skills rather than having to choose 2 to get a free rank in at the start of the game. This game is friendly to new and experienced players alike. Whether it is Star Wars RPG by FFG/Edge or Foundry, we have a friendly and inviting staff who can help you with any problems you may have.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
It is recommended that you have a system capable of running Foundry VTT (A laptop and or desktop will be best). And that you have a mic and access to Discord.
What Gallant Ascent brings to the table
I will host the game on Foundry VTT using the Star Wars RPG System. I offer an open and accepting community or fellow TTRPG players and Star Wars fans on Discord. I have all of the Core Rulebooks and all of the Sourcebooks, allowing for a wide range of player options. I love to give unique personalities to all my NPCs, though sadly my vocal range is somewhat limited (though I give my attempts at doing voices anyway lol). I tend towards using the rules as written, but I have plenty of homebrewed rules and will make decisions on a moment by moment basis to allow for better flow of gameplay. Whenever I run combat, I always do so to tell a story. So NPCs make decisions and use tactics based on the NPCs behind them or go create moments of tense or fun storytelling. This Campaign is part of a shared AU with several other Star Wars Campaigns I run.
Homebrew rules
In character creation, you receive a free rank in all 4 career skills from your specialization instead of two. Likewise you start with 600 credits instead of 500. We also have available custom playable species (e.i. Herglic, Sephi, and custom ones such as the Yerenak and Vran), and even custom careers and specializations created by the GM and your fellow community members.

How Gallant Ascent creates a safe table
We provide an RPG Consent Forum pinned in the General Chat Channel for you to fill out at your earliest convenience. We will hold a free Session 0 to go over the basics of the Campaign as well as what is okay and what isn't.
