About the adventure
A nefarious group with a sinister plan is rising in power and aims to summon the dragon queen, Tiamat, from the Nine Hells to the Forgotten Realms. As a brave band of heroes, you will navigate through perilous landscapes, from bustling cities and eerie forests to ancient ruins and treacherous mountains. Unravel the dark schemes, forge powerful alliances, and stand against the tide of evil threatening to engulf the world. Will you have the courage and cunning to thwart the cult's insidious plans and save the realms from an age of draconic tyranny? This campaign begins at level three and ends with the heroes reaching level twenty. The combat encounters have been scaled to present a challenge, but the story remains (mostly) unaltered. Some additional content has been added via player character stories. The sessions I run are more about keeping the flow and the fun of the game going - so don't worry if you're not a rules expert. I use Foundry VTT (2024 rules) to run the game and Discord to communicate. Players can expect an immersive, unforgettable experience.

About me
Hey there! My name's Amber and I started playing 5e in my 30's. I wanted to start sooner, but it turns out that getting a bunch of adults all in one room at the same time is super tough. 😄 After being a player for about a year I started running my own homebrew campaign for a few long-distance friends and learned it was way more fun to play the monsters. My hobbies include tabletop wargaming 🎲, video games 🎮, and art 🖌️ - so running D&D games is a natural fit for me. I very much enjoy creating maps, handouts, and other things that make my players feel immersed in the story. I don't enjoy being a player in games where I lose track of what my character is doing and why. With that in mind, I try to provide my players with an experience they can feel invested in. The games I run are less about adhering to the rules than working together to tell an interesting story. I welcome brand-new players and communicate openly to create an inclusive, fun environment for everyone. If you don't see a game listed for the time you had hoped, send me a message. I'm happy to adjust the time of a session if I'm able to make it work. This becomes more difficult to do as the game fills, so please just keep that in mind. Creating your character
D&D Beyond is used for the initial character creation. Players need to create a character at level one and are welcome to select any official WOTC class or race they like, but the character must include a bond, flaw, and ideal.
The party is currently transitioning from "Hoard of the Dragon Queen" to "Rise of Tiamat." Players are level 8 and will level up to 20 during the course of the campaign. As this is a longer campaign, I'd like to make sure any new recruits fit in with the current group before adding them on.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
⭐Discord is required. ⭐No experience level is required to join, but players are expected to understand their sheets. If questions arise during combat, that's totally fine. It's just too time-consuming to have to look at each player's sheet and assist during every combat.
