About me
Hello! Nice meeting you! I am a writer, translator, a storyteller and a budding content creator. I have been into tabletop games for three years and have been running games professionally for about the same time. I'm pretty experienced when it comes to World of Darkness games, especially Vampire: The Masquerade, Hunter: The Reckoning and Werewolf: The Apocalypse, having run multiple games in these splats. In terms of D&D, it has been always a passion that I followed through one-shots and friend games, but I decided it was finally time to delve into the community and start running longer games. I'm well-versed in the system, and I dabbled in different settings within the multiverse. As a GM I'm generally a rule of cool guy who does his best to stick by the book for the most part, but I'll never stifle your fun - especially if you are about to do something absolutely rad. I'm your characters' #1 fan when you are at the table. Creating your character
We will go through character and coterie creation together as a group during Session 0; where we will create a relationship map to define how each character knows each other, who else they know in their private lives, which part of Venice they control and in what manner. You can write me a brief, informative text about your character concept, and tell me what types of story beats you are hoping to hit with the said concept. If you are unfamiliar with Vampire or a beginner, fear not; we can brainstorm together to create a memorable character that you will all enjoy witnessing their developments.
- As a GM, I enjoy games that lean more into a linear style of story telling; with one thing leading to another. The city of İzmir is yours to explore in a sandbox-like experience, and I'm always willing to stretch and bend my story so you can fully enjoy what the world has to offer for you; but it is important to remember that your actions will be remembered and have consequences, and the story will eventually catch up with you. - One more important note: I put more emphasis in character growth, stories and development rather than dice rolling. I understand the magic math rocks are very pretty and we all love to roll them, but I always prioritize the narrative, and I like the rule of cool without going overboard. So, if you are expecting a game of only dice rolling, combat and minimum roleplay - I respect your choice, but I'm probably not the right GM for you. If you enjoy creating a collaborative story at the table and like to see your characters grow and change over time and roleplay with myself as well as your fellow players, then look no further! - Please include a brief introduction for yourselves and what kind of character you are hoping to play in the setting when applying for the game. How Onur Temel creates a safe table
I tend to go mostly by the rules stated in rulebooks but I may occasionaly bend them or tweak them to help players feel a bit more versatile with the powers/skills they possess or increase the difficulty of encounters to challenge them. This game is going to be a balance between fast paced, often violent action and small-scale, political manuevering and personal intrigue. I will be providing you with a Lines and Veils PDF document, and we will be going over all the topics listed under content warnings, as well as any potential topics that might have been missed out on to ensure that you comfortable playing at my table. We will take the time to talk about scenes that might have been rough for a player or their character after the game to ensure everyone will be leaving feeling good. At any point, if you wish to use one of the safety cards, you can use the Discord call emotes to signal all of the group as well as sending me a message, and I will immediately take proper measures.
