About the adventure
You have been hired to escort goods from Neverwinter to Phandalin, but unbeknownst to you, you're about to step into a web of conspiracies and evil. Old secrets are being rediscovered, and even older horrors are being reawakened. Will you be able to stop what’s coming, or will you fall to the call of the Far Realm and what lurks within? This game is great for new players and old players wanting a spin on a classic campaign. Characters will go from level 1 to 12 throughout the game.

Creating your character
Characters can be created beforehand or a premade character can be used, as long as they are level 1. I can also help players create a character during Session 0, or at another time if a player wishes.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To play you will need a D&D Beyond account and a Discord account. I'm happy to assist if a player needs help setting up either. A mic is preferred so we can speak on Discord, but if you are uncomfortable speaking you don't have to, I'm happy to accommodate. I may also use a webcam, but players don't need to. Players don't need to know the rules ahead of time, but I do need to know that they are new players beforehand so I can properly plan for time. Level 1 characters are required to play, but I can help create a character or provide a premade character if a player does not already have one. If you have dice, that's great! If you don't, there are lots of ways to roll dice online.

How Will Magpie creates a safe table
Players can expect a lot of role-play with good portions of exploring and combat as well. I use the rules more like guidelines and try not to get bogged down with details. In Session 0, I will go over expectations for the game, expected behavior, rules, triggers, and boundaries. We will set up an X system and Lines and Veils. I will also check in with players after game sessions to see how they are feeling and what they enjoy or want to change about the campaign. My DMs are also always open to any private concerns players have. I want to create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
