About the adventure

Unusual things have been happening in a small town in witch you are passing through. It becomes quickly evident that someone has summoned a demon intent on disrupting the peace. It is up to you and the rest of the party to behead or befriend this unknown entity and bring back calm to this otherwise peaceful town. (Details on exactly what demon will be determined by the DM after session 0, based on player's interest)

About me

Experience: 4 years of DM-ing About Me: * I became a DM because I played once (got killed by a zombie within the first 30 minutes) and decided I needed to do this with my friends. I've been mostly DM-ing since then and have never turned back. * I take a lot of inspiration from TV shows, anime, and non-fiction books.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will go over details on character creation during session 0. Characters start at lv 5, with stats decided on roll 4d20, discard, system. Any character that can be made on D&D beyond without any adjustments are allowed. If you want a home-brew class, let me know and we'll discuss it.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Make sure you have good audio available, camera is optional. Make sure characters are created, and that I have access to them, before session 1. Please do not show up high or overly drunk.

What Alex brings to the table

* I struggle with character voices but do use a voice modulator to make up for it. * I use ambient music that can be adjusted by the individual player depending on their preferences and needs * Combat is not my favorite so I have a few house rules to make it more exciting (opportunities for teamwork) * I go by the rule of cool as long as it's within reason and can be explained away. Everything will be through discord. Dnd beyond is just used to set up characters. If you already have a character that you want to use, that's fine as long as I have a sheet to look at. It can be a picture of a paper copy or whatever, as long as I have the information * I allow players to keep 'secrets' from each other to make things more interesting. This will more often be seen in long campaigns than in one-shots.

Safety

How Alex creates a safe table

Session 0 to go over safety tools, characters, and other details. Ideally it will be done as a group before the date of the session, if not possible, it can be done individually as well.
