About the adventure
Through the heavy fog and storms, the massive silhouette of Castle Ravenloft looms over the land of Barovia. The depressed land has not seen sunlight for as long as many can remember. There are tales of what it used to be like here..... Before she came. The once lovely Countess Strahd von Zarovich rules this land from her castle. Many never see her, though her presence is felt. Some people support her. Some people are indifferent. And others despise her. Some have tried and failed to thwart her rule in the past. Now, Strahd's attention has been caught by a group of new adventurers in her lands. What are their intentions? What should she do with them? Maybe she will just observe for a while.... decide how to play this. Come join me as we journey into the land of Barovia. This is a horror sandbox campaign setting. The players decide how this story will go. If you love vampires and werewolves, I highly recommend this setting for you!

I was introduced to D&D a few years ago and fell in love with it! When I started DMing, I found a new outlet for creativity. I love working with my players to develop their characters and build our own unique world together.

Creating your character
Each player should make a level 1 character in DnD Beyond using standard array for stats. Each character also gets 1 free feat at level 1. Once the character is made, we will import it to Foundry. Homebrew content is allowed as long as I approve it first. I also have pre-generated characters that can be provided upon request. If you are new to DnD, GREAT!! I love teaching people how to play the game! I am more than happy to help you with character creation should you need/want it. I also encourage each of my players to come up with backstories for their characters and discuss them with me. If you need help with this I am happy to assist you. I like to be able to provide an experience where each character can shine and have their individual stories highlighted while the group works towards a common goal.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have a free Discord and D&D Beyond account. I will provide links to the Discord server and campaign in D&D Beyond to make your character. I will also provide a link to Foundry for gameplay purposes. No webcam required unless you feel comfortable using one. I prefer to use one as I feel it makes roleplaying easier for me.
What Alex brings to the table
I will provide everyone with a fun maps and music during the session. I also have most WoTC sourcebooks along with partnered content such as: PHB, DMG, MM, Tasha's, Xanathar's, Curse of Strahd, etc.
