About the adventure
Welcome to Varisia! Get ready to embark on an epic adventure in the classic High Fantasy style, with all of the tropes you know and love. Take your character from a lowly 2nd level hopeful to an almighty 18th level demi-god! I strive to make a safe place for everyone. My table is LGBTQ+, disability, and neurodivergent friendly. If you are new to Pathfinder or TTRPGs entirely, I am happy to work with you and help you learn the system! The official Rise of the Runelords description from Paizo: In the sleepy coastal town of Sandpoint, evil is brewing. An attack by crazed goblins during the annual Swallowtail Festival quickly turns into something more ominous as the shadows of a dark past come back to haunt the town—and perhaps all of Varisia. Can the heroes stop the awakening of a legendary runelord and keep him from reclaiming his lost kingdom of greed? The Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path begins with a goblin attack and takes players on an epic journey through the land of Varisia as they track a cult of serial killers, fight depraved backwoods ogres, stop an advancing army of stone giants, delve deep into ancient dungeons to reclaim weapons of unbelievable power, and finally go up against an all-powerful wizard-king in his ancient mountaintop city.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello! My name is Jeremy, and I am absolutely obsessed with TTRPGs. I have been a player for almost ten years and a game master for the past four. I have a good deal of 5e knowledge, but the bulk of my experience is with the Pathfinder 1e system. I just can't resist the crunch! I have four kids, a lovely wife who is almost as into TTRPGs as I am, and the most chill dog you'd ever meet. I am an avid Dimension 20 fan, with Brennan Lee Mulligan being my number one GM roll model. I do enjoy running established Adventure Paths, but I love tying the story into the characters so that the PCs are the true stars. My table is open and welcome to everyone. I firmly believe that proper use of safety tools actually makes the game the best it can possibly be. Look forward to adventuring with you!

Creating your character
Character creation is one of my absolute favorite things, so feel free to reach out for any assistance! You can contact me ahead of Session 0 to discuss your character, or discuss it with the group at Session 0, or both. Stats are determined with a 25 point buy calculator. Characters start at level 2 with max HP. HP on level up is half given plus half rolled (ex. wizard is 1d3+3, barbarian is 1d6+6). 2 traits with a 3rd allowed if a drawback is taken. All Pathfinder 1e core races as well as core and base classes allowed, other classes and races allowed with prior approval.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a microphone, Discord account, and Roll20 account. I will be on camera on Roll20, and I welcome you to join me, but not required. I run Syrinscape for immersive audio which does require a free account, but this is also optional. You will create your own PC.
What Jeremy brings to the table
I will providing personalized content, side quests, downtime, and personal NPCs. I use roll20 with dynamic lighting and Syrinscape for immersive audio.

How Jeremy creates a safe table
I provide a lines and veils sheet prior to session 0 that is kept anonymous from other players, compiling them into a master sheet. If someone makes something as a line, and everyone else marks it green, it will be a line for the game. The tag list for Runelords is long and daunting and was made very dark and gritty, but I do my best to balance it so everyone feels comfortable and have no issues rewriting things or taking them out completely if needed. Between sessions, I check in with players and request a rose/bud/thorn. The rose is something you liked about the session, the bud is something you hope happens in future sessions, and the thorn is something you would to see improved or changed.
