About the adventure
The Mad Mage Halaster is rumored to be immortal, and his dark dungeon complex spans for miles beneath Waterdeep. Since adventurers keep flinging themselves into his lair for riches and glory, he has decided to host a violent game show ...where he scries upon a team each season and broadcasts their deeds and misfortunes across the multiverse to a live audience! Inside his sinister game show, you must face horrifying monsters, traverse hazardous terrain, and overcome overwhelming hurdles that Halaster has hand selected over centuries unknown. Should you survive, you will be granted more gold than you can count, abundant magic items, and instant celebrity status across all of the known Material Planes. Maybe even a chance to stop the games altogether if you find and infiltrate the final level! Sit in for a few sessions or see if you can survive the entire game show gauntlet!

How to prepare
A headset with a dedicated microphone is needed to prevent audio echoes and feedback. We will be using Discord for voice and notes, and Foundry VTT for the virtual tabletop, which will be hosted on The Forge. Links provided upon booking!

I provide custom tailored adventures, curated maps, unique tokens, and art; as well as all of the books on DnD Beyond to be shared with everyone in the campaign!
Gameplay details
Session 0 will allow for group composition, character discussion and creation, and the campaign overview. We will also discuss the safety tools during Session 0 as well as the table rules and Start Playing Games policies. Once the party is complete, and all questions are covered we will all join the tabletop for a brief Foundry VTT overview.

How will character creation work
Depending on your group, your starting level may vary. Please have a couple of character ideas ready to go in Session 0. If you want to make a character previous to Session 0, make one at your group's level and then please allow patience for those still building a character during the intro session. We will be using Point Buy (27), all character races and options, and will be given a free "half" feat upon creation. Any character idea is fine as long as it makes sense with the group. Starting magic items will usually amount to 1 Rare or 2 Uncommon items. If you are joining after Session 0, we can discuss the current level of the party and adjust your character accordingly.
