Dragon Blood | Epic Campaign 1°-20° [Homebrew, 🏳️🌈+ friendly]
Pathfinder 1e, Homebrew Game | Campaign
About the adventure
The land of Amonlanden is living in a long period peace grounded on delicate and fragile political balance between its kingdoms. Nonetheless, the opportunities for fame and glory are always present in a world where the dangers of the wilderness push the peoples to converge towards the cities. First among the many is the threat of dragons, creatures that in hate and spite of all the other races have detached themselves from the world cursing their own language to be never understood, leading to the birth of the dragon slaying tradition. All of you adventurers, each one for its purposes and means, find yourself at the mighty city of Evergreen, capital of the homonymous kingdom, to meet with the general of the city's guard Angela Birkenmayer. What you are yet to discover is that the circumstances of your meeting, apparently accidental, seem to hide a common thread that mysteriously connect you all. An great adventure awaits you, on the outcome of which depends the fate of much more than appears. Powerful foes to defeat, heroic deeds to accomplish and a long lost heritage to uncover are about to come. Cover art by Anato Finnstark (https://www.artstation.com/anto-finnstark)
Additional details
How to prepare
• A stable internet connection. • A browser to access to the FoundryVTT website, Chrome and Edge are verified options • A Discord account, since I use the program to interact with everyone. (https://discord.com/) • A working microphone and set of headphones • A working webcam is recommended but not mandatory, and everyone is welcomed in the way they are most comfortable with. I also always advice to have a physical notepad with you to take notes on dialogues, names, loot etc. It can also be done digitally but I always found that my players tend to have a greater immersion in this way.
What I provide
Dragon's Blood is a 1-20 level adventure with original setting, epic tones and a classic fantasy atmosphere. Thematically, the story is supposed to be a sandbox with a classic style main quest where adventurers are hired with a specific goal, leading to journeys along the continent taking several days and stops at specific towns or places. There is a starting part where the quest is linear to later open up to many different possibilities of what to do and in which order. There are challenges and situations of various kinds (politics, researches, battles, investigation etc.), but with the dominant storyline always in the background. This adventure is a well fit for "righteous and good" kind of heroes put to side with more morally grey ones, since morals and ethics are an important theme in the story. Setting The setting is homebrew, and while it well defined it is designed to accomodate all kind of characters and leaves space to fill in new elements. The setting also includes an array of races, magical creatures and a pantheon. The whole wiki, maps and compendiums are displayed through the site WorldAnvil, other than on Foundry , Discord and Google Drive. Tools and platforms • I use FoundryVTT to host the game, creating a digital space where the adventure takes place • I use different tools to make custom tokens and maps (Inkarnate, Dungeon Scrawler etc.) • I create dedicated Discord server for the group to chat, store infos and videocall with everyone during the sessions • I also tend to use a lot of visual art references, thematic playlists, custom made handouts, original soundtracks and other homebrew content. Roleplay I use character voices according to the style of the players, if they prefer a more in-character/theatrical approach or an extradiegetic storytelling style for their characters. In this campaign is particularly relevant the world's lore and history, since your characters will play a central role in the political and cultural development of the whole setting. Combat and Rules • The campaign present a balanced mix of roleplay, combat and exploration, with some puzzles and riddles. • I tend to generally follow the rules but bending them for awarding creative strategies and roleplay focused ideas. • I sometimes use custom game mechanics in order to handle any occurrence that may happen in the story
Gameplay details
For Lines and Veils we use the standard version by Monte Cook with some additions that I will forward to the players. The X, N & O's are communicated through chat directly with me or in the group chat, as you are more comfortable with. In session 0 I also plan to go over what are your expectations for the group and the campaign, both for your characters and for your experience as players.

How will character creation work
• We will create the characters sheets together through sessions zero and one. • The characteristics will be determined with the building points system (a system where you have a certain amount of point with which you can buy the scores) • Starting level for the characters is level 1. • We use Background Skills optional rule • It is possible to use pre-generated characters if you previously tell me at least 12 hours before the session • I can also provide some guidelines for the background creation for those who may need them, that are kind of a series of ideas from where to start with. • The characters sheet will be done with Foundry.
