About me

Hello there players! My name is Miguel and I've been a GM for five years. Since I was a kid I've always loved being creative and submerging myself in vast worlds, stories and characters. The act of sharing this passion of mine with players and seeing the process of them creating their characters and leaving their mark on the world is always exciting. I have a degree in History with a master's in ancient religions and Mediterranean civilizations and I'm in love with making believable worlds and using ancient legends or obscured tales to inspire my campaigns and make everyone learn a little bit more about different cultures. I have a lot of experience with DND 5e although I can also run other systems like VTM. My first priority is to make my games a safe space for everyone involved, of course they are LGBT friendly and I won't tolerate any kind of hate speech or disrespect at my table against me or my players. I try to be fun and accessible, so players who are starting in TTRPGS are welcome and encouraged to ask all the questions that they want even outside of game time. I love suggestions and creative ideas from my players and I tend to transform my campaigns around their plans and character arcs. Hope to roll some virtual dice with you in the future!

They are responsive and create a collaborative environment for the group to play off of each other. Made sure to discuss our lines and veils. Was clear about the type of game to expect and followed through with that vision.

I am several games in with Miguel now and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience. He is always energetic and prepared for the game. Extremely helpful with any questions of the rules or game itself and wonderfully encouraging with any ideas the group has that pops up during each session. He’s friendly, fun, and helpful. I can not recommend him as a GM enough.

Great ST! I really appreciated the voices. personalities and facial expressions Miguel showed for each SPC while weaving the story! Really added depth to every SPC. Miguel is quick to improvise scenes and adapt to his player's play style, never missing a beat when things get a little chaotic. Overall I am having a blast at his table!

Character creation
Creating your character

We will create your characters together during Session 0. The 13 oficial clans in V5 are allowed with homebrew changes to make them fit in 1197 A.D: The Banu Haqim will be called assamites, The Hecata will be replaced for the Cappadoccians and the Ministry will return to their original name (the Followers of Set). Obscure bloodlines like the ones from v20 Dark ages could be accepted under my individual judgement and with some changes made to adapt them to V5. There is going to be a sistem of paths outside of Humanity, your characters will be able to play other morality paths to fend the beast, like the path of sin, the path of chivalry, the path of beasts or the path of heaven creating convictions connected to those paths. The players will be 10th generation neonates with a Blood Potency of 2 and 15 XP to spend at character creation.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

-A Discord Account (That's where we are going to talk) -A Roll20 Account (That's the VTT where the session is going to take place) -A PC or laptop -Headphones and a microphone - A stable Internet Connection (It's also recommended that you put a webcam on, it can help on role-play and character interactions but it's not mandatory at all)

What MiguelTheWarlock brings to the table

I'll bring a premium subscription to Roll20, maps, pictures and handouts and grim music to give a darker feeling to the chronicle.

How MiguelTheWarlock creates a safe table

At the start of every session, we will do a quick recap to remember the events that happened in the last session. The chronicle will always be played in roll20 with images and maps of the scenery around the characters (descriptions won't be too long and I will enhance the experience with different handouts, my priority is putting you inside the scene with pictures without taking up your time to play), its going to be a chronicle focused around role-play and players agency inside Constantinople. A session will usually be 3 hours long, but I'll always try to leave the game in specific moments so they can be going for 30 minutes more. A five minute break will always happen at the middle of a session for grabbing snacks or bio-breaks. At the end you'll have time to make criticism and tell me your opinion and the things you would change about the game.
