About the adventure
"And naught shall be left save shattered thrones, with no rulers but the dead. Dragons shall rule the world entire, and..." β Chronicle of Years to Come, trans. Elminster Aumar It begins with a fire in a small town. A stroke of luck, some might say, though good or bad has yet to be determined. Your wayside stopping point is attacked by draconic warriors, members of an elusive cult that has sought to raise great serpents from the dead. Until now. The Cult of the Dragon has changed hands. Their plans grow larger. They seek the favor of the great goddess Tiamat. They wish to release her into the world and see it painted in flames. Annihilation beckons. Cities are razed to the ground. Scholars are captured and devoured. While talking heads gather in councils to debate their approaches towards the looming threat, death presses ever closer. This is a time for heroes, not politicians. The fate of the world now rests in your hands. πΉ An epic, high fantasy adventure across the Forgotten Realms πΊοΈ Custom high-resolution maps, tokens, and animations π Professional theatrical storytelling with a sprinkle of meta-humor π» Immersive audio, from the roar of flames to the thunder of war π₯οΈ All official game resources and technology to defeat the cult βοΈ Beginner-friendly while still offering a challenge to more experienced adventurers π³οΈβπ Inclusive environment for all identities, both in and out of game π Weekly office hours for questions, concerns, and casual banter Tyranny of Dragons is a high fantasy adventure module designed for Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition. Player characters will advance from Level 1 to 15 as they uncover schemes, free captives, battle monsters, and unravel sinister plans. Inspired by works such as THE LORD OF THE RINGS, THE ELDER SCROLLS, and ERAGON, take up arms before you are swallowed by the flame!

About me
My name's MJ (she/her), and I'm everything your parents warned you about: a horror writer, a punk rock guitarist, a Philadelphia sports fan, and a Dungeon Master! My friends have described me as "a German Shepherd cursed to be human," "the universe's favorite chew toy," and "too interesting for my own good."

How MJ creates a safe table
The content warnings listed here detail items that are likely to appear in the game, not items that are guaranteed to appear. Part of our Session 0 will involve discussing players' comfort level with certain topics, and the game can be altered to minimize certain themes or avoid them entirely. Players who join mid-campaign should discuss these topics with me during weekly office hours. There are certain themes that are central to the text and cannot be avoided. The primary antagonists seek to sacrifice a large population to the goddess Tiamat in the hopes of garnering her favor. Fire damage is prevalent, particularly in early chapters. Prisoners of the cult are made to complete manual labor. Tabletop role-playing games are meant to be an escape from the horrors of the real world. Above-table prejudices such as racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and classism are unacceptable at my table and will lead to your immediate removal without refund.
