About the adventure
Your journeys take you through foggy trails into the distant land of Barovia. In the distance, you hear a wolf howl. Farther still, you see the massive Castle Ravenloft looming over the denizens of the town below. Strahd von Zarovich eagerly awaits. This is a gothic horror adventure, full of vampires, gloom, and all the classic horror staples that make the genre great. The tone will be serious, but not without moments of levity. There will be challenges, but the players will not be without hope. You will have allies that stand against darkness.

About me
I love writing stories and incorporating player backstories into a satisfying RP experience for everyone at the table. I've done some DMing for friends with DnD 5e and I've played a few other RPGs before, and I fell in love with TTRPGs. I wanna spread the love of RPGs and give people a fun and memorable experience!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will be before the first session in Fantasy Grounds using the Point Buy method. We will be starting the campaign at level 3. I tend to accept most player races/classes as long as they are not unbalanced.
Session 0 will be free! We'll play weekly, every Wednesday.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I will be using a webcam and would like everyone else to, but it is not 100% necessary. The sessions will be held on Discord, so an account will be necessary. A free account on Fantasy Grounds Unity will be needed for the game as well. Character creation may be done together, especially if you do not have experience in the Fantasy Grounds character creator program.
What Ari GM brings to the table
I have a premium account on Fantasy Grounds Unity, so players will need only the free version. I am experienced in theatre and will use that toward character voices and roleplay, and I will most likely use ambient music. I tend to embrace the Rule of Cool while not straying beyond "reality". I like to focus on the player characters and give them stories that take their histories, needs, and desires into account.

Safety
How Ari GM creates a safe table
The RPG Consent Checklist will be used by all players and the DM beforehand and Limits will be respected. Session 0 will be to determine what we do and do not want in game, as well as establishing tone, making sure I can avoid anything that may be upsetting to players. After each session I will ask for feedback as well as check in and make sure everyone at the "table" is comfortable.
