About the adventure
The world is growing darker. So dark and cold that even a mug of ale and a hearty meal at the Prancing Pony cannot quite shake the growing dread in the pit of your stomach. Danger has crept back into the shadows of Middle Earth, and you must do something to put a stop to it. Whether you do it to protect your home, to gather knowledge, to find secret treasures; your reasons are your own. At the end of the day, if you don't face the darkness, who else will? --- This is a narratively-driven game set in the world of Middle-Earth after the events of The Hobbit but before the events of The Lord of the Rings, encompassing a span of about 80 years. While I will be using the supplement Tales from the Lone-Lands to add to the adventures, there are still innumerable potential stories that can happen, the nature of which will heavily depend upon your choices and your character goals. No prior knowledge of the TOR system nor the lore of Tolkien is necessary; an adventurous spirit is all that is required. Queer and BIPOC characters are more than welcome. Tolkien is for everyone.
Meet the Game Master
About me
A queer writer and storyteller, I'm passionate about creating exciting, authentic story environments for players to explore. I prefer to run mature games that often dip into dark, complex themes with a strong undercurrent of hope and humanity. I love to create inclusive, exciting, and immersive games suited for both beginners and veteran players.

Creating your character
We will have a zero session where we will make characters together. I can help guide you through the character creation process for TOR2 to make a character you're excited to see grow and evolve within the world. There's no need to have any of the rules on your end unless you want to purchase the book. Everything will be contained in Foundry VTT. If you already have ideas for a character, feel free to DM me or make a post in my Discord channel to get the ball rolling. Keep in mind that the party will already at least have passing knowledge of each other and may have already done some adventuring together in the past.
A long-term campaign every other Monday.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
- A free Discord account for voice chat and additional communication is required, as well as a working microphone. - Join my Discord channel and read the Rules and Safety channel: https://discord.gg/e6S9UjXm5f - Complete the Campaign Consent survey linked in the Rules and Safety channel. Your responses are only visible to me. How Anduriel creates a safe table
This campaign will likely deal with darker themes as is canon in Tolkien. To ensure the longevity of the campaign and player comfort, we will be utilizing the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist, a link to which can be found once you join my Discord channel. At our zero session we will also talk about the types of adventures the group wants to have and what we want to avoid. Please also feel free to DM me any time with any themes, triggers, or anything else you may want me to know. Know that if you DM me during the game, I might not see it immediately, but I will do my best to respond/adjust quickly. I also always employ the Open Door policy and will regularly check in for breaks.
