An Official Wizards of the Coast Adventure! Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd’s face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came—all according to his plan. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. Thomas was such a delightful GM! He did such an amazing job with our new players as well as the advanced players. He had such a positive and energetic way of interacting with everyone and keeping everyone engaged which was especially impressive as we had a full day session. Thomas was outstanding!! I started with a one shot and I now I am looking into joining a campaign with him. He made the game the fight combination of fun and challenging. Difficultly will gradually increase as we progress through the adventure together. This Play-by-Post adventure takes place entirely on Discord using the Avrae bot. This will connect to your character in D&D Beyond to perform rolls and other game actions. I will check in multiple times a day and keep the game moving! How will character creation work
Firstly, you'll want to join our discord channel here! https://discord.gg/ATqXs877n2 Once you're there, please take a minute to view our rules, (including those listed specifically for this adventure) and the safety tools we'll be using. You may customize your character using any of the races/classes from the Player's Handbook, Tasha's, and Xanathar's. I'll also help you to integrate D&D Beyond with Discord so that all your rolls transfer right over! You may customize your character using any of the races/classes from the Player's Handbook, Tasha's, and Xanathar's. All characters will start at level 1 unless we've already started the adventure, in which case you can create a character at whatever level the party is currently at! If you are unsure which character to play, let me know and I will help you choose a race/class combination that will fit the character you want to play!
