About the adventure
You live in Dragonport, the biggest and most expensive city on the continent. Many adventurers here end up in debtor's prison, but you've joined the Owlbear Brigade, a mercenary company offering many opportunities for profit. You might choose to guard a merchant's caravan, for example, or become bodyguards to a noble threatened by assassins. You can dungeon delve or take an ocean voyage, but there's also plenty of opportunities in Dragonport for those who want to stay close to friends and family. The Owlbear Brigade gives you a safe place to rest between adventurers, and they will sell you potions and other magic items to use on your missions. You can even rise up in the ranks of the company by increasing its reputation, holdings, and market share. Do well, and you might earn a seat on the Executive Council. But look out for your rivals, the Lamia League, the most dastardly mercenary company in Dragonport. They've got a grudge against the Owlbear Brigade, and there's not much they won't do to undermine and embarrass their competition.
