About the adventure

Not even destiny itself is safe when powerful forces seek to seize control of the future, and now it falls to a band of heroes selected by the power of a magical Harrow deck to step in and ensure that fate is not stolen from the world! Already noteworthy in their own right, this new band of adventurers finds themselves quickly swept up in a race to gather and control the scattered cards of a powerful, mysterious artifact tied to the destinies of all who live on Golarion. It’s a race that must be won, for to lose means all possible futures fade save for one—a stolen fate meant to bring power to a very select few and leave the rest of reality in ruin! PFS certs are available for players if they want. Characters are level 12 and can be created using the standard Pathfinder rules using the ancestry paragon and free archetype optional rules.

About me

I've been roleplaying since the 1980's and in that time have a wide experience of different games, editions and roleplaying styles. From the original red box of Dungeons and Dragons, with the dice you had to colour yourself and hand drawn maps on squared paper, to the modern age of virtual table top I've enjoyed roleplaying in all its forms. In that time whilst I have played a lot I have gravitated towards running games and have been a GM for the best part of 30 years including Dungeons and Dragons (all editions), Pathfinder, Shadowrun and Savage Worlds. From playing at a club, running a Living Campaign in the UK, to organising conventions Roleplaying has allowed me to meet and play with people from all parts of life and all over the world and I heartily recommend it to anyone who wants to try it, there are no prejudices here. An early adopter of the virtual tabletop I have run games on most of the well known ones including Roll20, Maptools, Fantasy Grounds before settling on FoundryVTT I love bringing a story to life and making the players the centre point of that story, as such I often find myself adapting to different play styles and motivations as they play. Newcomers are always welcome and I am happy to explain any rules they may not be clear on. Ultimately its about having fun and if you aren't having fun then I'm doing something wrong. Running and playing in a campaign requires a level of commitment and I appreciate that playing in games can get expensive so as an added incentive after you have played for 10 sessions I will give a 20% discount for future sessions (you'll probably have to remind me though, and a review at that time is always appreciated)

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters are normally created in a session zero but players are welcome to create them in advance. I recommend using https://pathbuilder2e.com/ as then they can easily be imported into FoundryVTT. Characters should be based on the Player Core Rulebook for PF2 and use the ancestry paragon optional rule (an extra feat at first level) as well as the free archetype optional rule. I will generate the tokens for use in the VTT Players can either provide a character image, a mini designed in www.heroforge.com (you'll just need to share the link, or a character description which I will then feed into an AI art generator to generate image options for you to choose.

The current party

Characters are Level 12, Currently there is a Cleric, Rogue, Ranger, and Wizard in the party. The party has just started stolen fate adventure

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The game is in English, microphones are a must and webcams are optional. No knowledge of Pathfinder or Foundry is required to play, although an indication of your experience is always helpful. I'm on hand on discord or Startplaying to discuss anything you need to.

How Grant creates a safe table

The game is in English, microphones are a must and webcams are optional. Players will need a modern browser, a free account at https://eu.forge-vtt.com/ to access the VTT, and a discord account. Everything else will be provided by me. Characters can be created in a session 0 or offline, and should follow the rules presented in the PF2 Core Rules. We will be using the Optional rule Ancestry Paragon (granting an extra ancestry feat at first level) and the free archetype optional rules. I recommend creating your character on https://pathbuilder2e.com/ as it can then easily be imported into Foundry. Please note this is a fantasy roleplaying game and therefore there is fantasy violence, fantasy death, alcohol and substance references, occasional strong language, dragons, demons, mind controlling spells, lava, kobolds, and many other perils! It is all done in a fun way but the themes are there.
