Creating your character

Character creation will occur once we have selected which quest we are running from Candlekeep Mysteries. We'll create characters in D&D Beyond - I've got all the material, so there should be lots of options for all types of players. We'll make sure characters are created beforehand, but I'll be available to help with any questions you might have while making them! Level will depend on the quest.

Preparing for the session

You'll need a microphone at least, but a webcam is preferred so that we can share in our reactions. You'll also need Discord downloaded - I'll send a server invite once the game is confirmed. Having a general idea of the rules is a good idea, but this is a beginner-friendly game - no one will fault you for not knowing how something works! We'll use D&D Beyond to create characters, but you are free to print off your sheet from there if you prefer that! If you want to use physical dice, you'll need to bring those - you are also more than welcome to roll on D&D Beyond or in Discord.

Players can expect a standard D&D experience with a good balance of combat, roleplay, and puzzle solving. We'll use standard D&D rules, with some simplification for new players.
