About the adventure

You have been through rigorous training to become Suyata, an elite group of ambassadors and marshals for the Council of Twelve in Cahokia. On your first mission you will be sent North to Station 54 on the edge of the Permanent Ice Zone to investigate why the weather station has stopped sending communications. The scientists have not been seen in 3 weeks. What could have happened? Is it the weather, wild animals or another tribe? Find out in this learn to play one shot! We will use premade characters to explore an uncolonized North America, while you learn the mechanics and some of the lore that makes up this fantastic game. 700 years ago a cataclysm occurred causing a new and terrible ice age, glaciers grew to cover from the north pole to just north of what we currently call the Canadian border in just a few short years of deep winter. The seas became impassable and isolated the continent from the rest of the world. This is Makasing. A land where science and spiritual beliefs are intertwined and work together instead of separately. Where a gift called Adanadi grants some abilities beyond that of a normal human. Some people choose to use this gift and step into a larger circle. A place where heroes are born and great stories start. You are one such person. In the last forty years the Earth seems to be healing from the upheaval of the Awis. Summers are growing longer and the ice caps are retreating. Curiosity is warring with long held fears about what is outside of the known borders. Some want to explore, some to expand their nations. In a changing world, where will you stand? Thumbnail is a mashup including Art by Kam White, used with permission via the Coyote and Crow Fireside program.

How to prepare

This game is played in Foundry Virtual Tabletop, right in your browser. A computer capable of running Foundry VTT through your browser, Chrome Browser works best, but Chromebooks tend to chug https://foundryvtt.com/article/requirements/ If you haven't used Foundry I will teach you how to used it. Check this out before our first session https://foundryvtt.com/article/player-orientation/ for an idea of what to expect We will use Discord for voice, a headset is preferable over speakers. A decent microphone. It is polite to minimize background noise as much as possible while on mic. I will be using a web cam to add to the fun, however players are not obligated to be on camera. I do find it brings a little bit of that table feel to an online game.

What I provide

Music and sound effect volume is controllable on the player's side so that you can have as much or as little as you like. The Foundry Module full of visual effects, fantastic music and epic bad guys. Fun art for the Theater of the Mind moments and battlemaps for combat. A beginner, LGBTQ+ and neuro-divergent safe space

Gameplay details

My table is a safe place that welcomes and celebrates diversity. This will always be a neuro-divergent and LGBTQIA+ safe space. I will be using safety tools at all times. The following does not have a place in any of my games. Others will be added as needed: • Sexual assault/non-consensual sex • Exploitation of minors • Explicit mature content (always fade to black) • Homophobia and Transphobia • Chattel Slavery • Real life racism • Torture, graphic meaningless violence If you have any accommodations you might need, I will do my best to meet them. For example, if you cannot access Foundry, I will help with your rolls.
