About the adventure
The Skull Kollectors Need YOU! Come join Zilya and Garkayl, aka The Skull Kollectors! A rag tag team mad up of a goblin battle master and a kobold battle smith. Past members included Krek, a goblin battlemaster fighter; Ludi, a gnome twilight cleric; Svend, a goliath knight; and Elenoth, a drow sorcerer/rogue. As the owners of Trollskull Tavern, they have decorated the walls of the establishment with the skulls of their unsavory enemies and a painting of an Ankheg by the eccentric Waterdavian artist Kalain from her ART IMITATES LIFE collection. Come in! Allow Leif, the resident specter doorman, to take your coat, pull out your chair and refill your ale. Meet the staff! Jackie Daytona - the regular human bartender; "Jessica" the cook; and Crump McGrump, the bouncer and janitor. We are looking for new individuals to join the Skull Kollectors. Do you possess a desire to collect the skulls of your enemies? Do you wish to bring down the Xanathar's Guild? Do you enjoy delving into Undermountain for fame. glory, and wealth? Have you ever thought about adventure on the high seas fighting pirates aboard a sailing ship that stocks a full bar!? If that sounds like you, then you are an ideal candidate for the Skull Kollectors! Apply today at Trollskull Tavern, located in Trollskull Alley between Delzorin Street and Saerdoun Street, North Ward, Waterdeep. In the city of Waterdeep rests a tavern called the Yawning Portal, named after the gaping pit in its common room. At the bottom of this crumbling shaft is a labyrinthine dungeon shunned by all but the most daring adventurers. Known as Undermountain, this dungeon is the domain of the mad wizard Halaster Blackcloak. Long has the Mad Mage dwelt in these forlorn depths, seeding his lair with monsters, traps, and mysteries—to what end is a constant source of speculation and concern.

Meet the Game Master
About me
First and foremost, I am a writer, reader, and storyteller by trade and at heart. I am a seasoned GM who has been playing since middle school in 1998 with D&D 3e. I have been DMing since 2000 and have been DMing D&D 5e specifically since 2018. I have a penchant for new players as I am a fair and reasonable DM. I'm patient and willing to teach and allow others to learn to play in all aspects, whether it's the dynamics of combat or growth with roleplaying. Come meet some of my current and past players on my Discord Server. Message me for the link. I have been building my homebrew world of Grakloros since 2010. I have run many campaigns in this world. I have maps created in Campaign Cartographer 3+ and a YouTube channel dedicated to the lore of my world. I have two campaign settings featuring my world: The God's Reach setting where my One-Shot games takes place, and the Bones and Barbarians setting that I GM for my crew on Twitch on Thursdays from 7-9pm EST. We have concluded season 2! Announcements for Season 3 will be coming around August 2024. I am excited to introduce B&B as I have been developing it for many years. My Discord Server is open to any and all past and present players. I host players from all across the US, Europe, and Australia. Come and join what I like to call "my extended D&D family." LGBTQ+ Friendly Neurodivergent Friendly New Player Friendly Discount Programs!!!!! - A very underused option. I offer a few: A) The Refer a Friend Program - easy stuff, you get a friend of yours to join a game and when they play their 4th paid session, you get 4 weeks free! That's 4 full weeks of unlimited games, meaning that within those 4 weeks you can try out any game I'm running (open seats permitting) for FREE! B) The Family Discount - want your spouse, significant other, mom, dad, sibling, or cousin to play with you? Great! What better way to get grandmama to learn DND than to split the cost between you. It functions like a "buy one-get one free" or "two at half-price" deal. C) NEW!!! The Try a Second Game Half Off Deal - a lot of Pro GM's offer this and I'm adding it to my list. Some stipulations, As long as you've played 4 paid games and you join a second game, that game will be half of its original price. This is a 2 month trial period deal. After those 2 months, the price goes back to it's original starting price. If you enjoy the game, I would hope you would find it worthy to continue. However, if you didn't like it, at least it didn't break the bank

Creating your character
During Session Zero we will be using Roll20's 2024 Character Builder. I have the following compendiums for your use: PHB (2014/2024), DMG, Xanathar's, Tasha's, Fizban's, SCAG, Van Richten's, Bigby's, and Monsters of the Multiverse.
Current Progress: The Skull Kollectors are Level 10 and include: -Garkayle Titanium Twotooth: a Kobold battle smith artificer; -Zilya Tefer Thornebough: a Halfling shadow monk; They are receiving help from: -The Ragamuffins; Nat, Squiddly, and Jenks who have taken on roles as sidekicks. Nat is training as an Expert, Squiddly as a Warrior, and Jenks as a Spellcaster. We have completed Dragon Heist and Undermountain beckons! After recovering the missing cache of gold that was hidden within the Vault of Dragons beneath Waterdeep, and making an alliance with Jarlaxle Baenre (the Secret Lord of Luskan and leader of the drow mercenary company Bregan D'aerthe) and Lady Laeral Silverhand (The Open Lord of Waterdeep). Luskan has now joined the Lord's Alliance. The crew has been granted land and knightly titles in Luskan and plan on establishing their various ventures. They even bought a ship! However, they will need to fund their future estates and adventures, and to that end, the treasures that lay within Undermountain seem all too irresistible. After finishing the 3rd Level of Undermountain in this module, the Skull Kollectors will have the opportunity of choosing their next adventure or continuing deeper into Undermountain. We are currently delving into the fourth layer of Undermountain in search or duergar of Clan Ironeye. They are in possession of a magical dagger belonging to the hobgoblin warlord Azrok, ruler of Western Stromkuhldur (the ruined subterranean city located in Level 3) and our mission is to retrieve it for him. With the Legion of Azrok on our side, as well as drow from House Auvryndar, the group plans on taking over Skullport and deal the killing blow to Xanathar and his guild. It is unfortunately a ruse, however, as the Skull Kollectors have promised Skullport to both House Auvryndar and the Legion of Azrok. The Legion of Azrok has been convinced that the drow are mercenaries from Bregan D'aerthe that were hired for the battle, and House Auvryndar was told that the Legion of Azrok are mere cannon fodder for the battle to come. In reality, once the battle is over, the Skull Kollectors plan on laying low while the two groups decimate each other for control of the town, where only the remaining side will be given the right to rule of Skullport and both Western and Eastern Stromkuhldur. New players will start at level 10, using point buy for stats. In addition to standard starting equipment or gold, new players will receive 1 common and 1 uncommon magic item, and an additional 750gp.

How Michael Pucci creates a safe table
During session Zero we will not only go over how to integrate the characters into a party and work out character sheet kinks, but we will also go over what everyone's expectation of me is. That means what kind of content do you want to see or not want to see. What are the hard limits and veils. I want us to work cohesively as a group and I as your DM. After each session we will have a time to express what you liked about the game, what you didn't, and what you would like to get for future sessions. If anyone is not comfortable sharing in the group, you can always message me personally and we can address the issue anonymously. Digital Safety Cards are available upon request.
