About the adventure

Star Wars: Omega Squad. I grew up reading the EU novels of Star Wars, specifically the original Zahn trilogies, and fell in love with Rogue and Wraith Squadrons (as well as the Republic Commandos series). If you want to be a crack Rebel Commando and/or pilot to take on the Empire... this is for you! Set in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor. The Empire may be defeated, but there are plenty of diehard Imperials still left out there. Warlords, Intel Agents... there are even rumours of Grand Admirals still unaccounted for.. You are Omega Squad. A Special Operations Unit made up of a collection of differently skilled members of the alliance. Your task can be summed up fairly simply... find out what Project Eclipse is, and stop it. It might sound simple, but there are plenty of obstacles in your path. But hey... that's why they called in Omega Squad, when all else fails, it comes to you. High Command have their hands full trying to change from a Rebellion to a New Republic, so it'll be down to you to make your plans, seize (or liberate) your assets, build your reputation and make sure that the latest nefarious scheme of the Empire fails. Using Age of Rebellion as the core system, although Edge of the Empire and Force and Destiny characters are allowed. If you think you have what's needed to take down the Empire, then sign up. Omega Squad needs you!

About me

Hi all. My name's Face (well, my gaming name!), and my pronouns are presentation dependant (so he/him 95% of the time!) I've been running games for about 12 years, including a 9.5yr long DnD campaign! I've been running professionally for about 3.5yrs, and one of my 5e games has just celebrated it's 3yr anniversary. I'm a fairly fun and easy going GM with FAR too much of a monthly spend on Patreon for maps, tokens and music... so have a pretty extensive collection by now. I always run via Foundry VTT (and have my own server) and usually use Discord as my Comms of choice. Looking forward to playing games with you.

Character creation

Creating your character

Using Session 0, we'll sort out starting characters for everyone. If you have an idea and want to bring it to the table, then fantastic! Hopefully we can create a team where everyone gets to shine.

The current party

Omega Squad is a Star Wars game in the same vein as Republic Commando/Rogue Squadron/Wraith Squadron books. So more commandos, spies and soldiers than lightsabers and Jedi! We've had about 20+ sessions so far, so you'll get a bunch on XP and gear added to help you get your character up to the same level!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

If you've heard of Oggdude's Character generator (or can Google it), then feel free to download and have a play around. We'll be playing on Discord, so make sure you have an account there. Microphone's are a must, and webcams strongly encouraged.

What Face brings to the table

I'll provide the Discord Channel, as well as the Foundry link. I'll also bring the Star Wars music, opening crawl and a load of tokens!

How Face creates a safe table

Players are heroes of the Rebellion. Whilst this is set in a war, it'll be a the violence level of the Star Wars films and series. Session 0 will be character and squad creation (and will be free), and we'll go over what table rules we have.
