About the adventure

------------------------------- Game Trailer: https://youtu.be/qWLuRmTCDJc ------------------------------- Beverly, Massachusetts, 1936. Strange phenomena are occurring with increasing frequency along the New England coast. Dual moons, ghostly figures, mysterious glowing shapes and symbols, and monstrous walking nightmares seen in the day as well as night, each sighting fleeting but growing in intensity. You are at the epicenter here in Beverly. What can you hope to do to discover what is causing this? More importantly, what can anyone do to stop it? If indeed it can be stopped at all. ------------------------------- Liber Novomundorum is a Tiny Cthulhu campaign set in the real world events of 1936. Arkham, Massachusetts does not exist, Cthulhu is only mentioned in pulp stories, and true supernatural experts are few and far between. If you are looking for a mystery full of twists and turns that rely on your wits and ingenuity to solve, then look no further. If you prefer an immersive character-driven story experience with few dice rolls, this is your game. Join a collaborative story where we can weave a tale of the weird and eldritch as it clashes with our own world. Tiny Cthulhu is part of the streamlined Tiny D6 minimalist ruleset that takes the crunch out of the way of roleplay without sacrificing balance and consistency, all while keeping cinematic pacing without ever needing to consult the book during a game session. Characters can be made in as little as 5-10 minutes. -------------------------------

About me

My name is Eric (he/him), yet another forever Storyteller who had their first roleplay experience with Vampire: The Masquerade and D&D 3.5 back in the early 2000's. Not long after, I ran my first of many games ever; Star Wars D20. Years later, I gained the reputation as the friend who could whip up a game session from nothing in 15 minutes. This led to some long-running campaigns of my Legend of Zelda (technically still going 19 years later) and my custom-made multiverse game Zoridock (of which I have a campaign which has concluded). I tend to run character driven campaigns that focus on heavy roleplay and narrative threads rather than combat, though I don't shy away from anyone deciding to take the heavy-handed approach. Come help create a collaborative story, one that we'll all look back on with fond memories, and more than a few epic tales to regale other players of. Who's ready for an adventure?

Story teller is amazing at developing your story alongside the main story. Honestly, this is one of my favorite characters I've ever played and it's mostly because of the story we're building together.

Selecting three tags to describe what is so great about Eric is not enough. He was my introduction to a wider world of role playing. Before meeting him and joining his home-brewed Legend of Zelda game, I had only had experience in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons with my dad as GM, and some play-by-post sites with no real RP rules. I was pulled along to this session to watch by a mutual friend. It was March 19, 2004. Eric asked me to join, even though he already had about nine players present, and helped me quickly make a character to jump right in with everyone. He was inclusive and helpful, and I was amazed at how quickly he could pull an NPC out of his butt that the players would instantly latch onto for the rest of the chronicle. He was able to orchestrate several groups of people to give equal play time, and even though it wasn’t our turn we were highly entertained. He knew my passion for the Legend of Zelda lore (this was the time of Ocarina), and actively listened to me when spouting all the religious and cultural intricacies to improve his setting. He loved the backstories we threw at him and would always ask for more detail to understand them better. That game has lasted on and off for about twenty years with many players that still to this day talk about all of the creative things he let us get away with, the incredible story and mysteries we discovered, and our characters' interactions with one another. I have played with Eric not only in a Story Teller role as Forever GM, but also as a fellow player. His role play style seems to inspire those around them to up their game, inspiring new players and new story tellers alike! He helps us create dynamic characters and gets us to care deeply about them and the world in whatever setting we’re in, from a LARP World of Darkness to his table-top home-brewed world in Zoridock. I have even witnessed, in college, twenty people sitting in a restaurant clear the building to rush home and make characters upon news that their favorite story teller was starting a new game. It was a trip! Recommended if you’re new. If you’re creative and love to experiment, he is also the way to go. If you can break his plots by throwing a curve ball, he will love you for it. He’s the kind of guy that cares about your character and your story as much as you do. The first game with him will always have a special place in my heart. We’ve been together since 2007, and I still play with him every chance I get.

Eric is one of the best DMs to truly make the characters in the world feel alive and fun. His games are also very beginner friendly and the other players were great as well. The reoccurring characters in his game make for great moments while not in fight sessions but the enemies in fight sessions also feel like they have a purpose and not just mindlessly attack. He puts a lot of effort out of the games as well in terms of helping develop your character and providing other resources like maps, loot sheets, and other useful handouts. Eric also provides the chance to have between sessions where the group continues the story in character using text chat and if you are feeling unhappy with the game he does listen to the player's stars and wishes. To sum it all up if you do have the opportunity to join his games I would highly recommend it, I know I will when I have the chance to again.

Eric has a well developed unique world that has you guessing what's around every corner. There is also a lot of role playing with this guy and the cast of NPC's to interact with is always an enjoyable experience. Definitely a, go with the flow, GM who rewards creativity!

Absolutely incredible GM! Their storytelling was immersive, creative, and deeply engaging. Every session was well-paced, full of rich roleplay opportunities, exciting challenges, and meaningful character moments. They were patient, inclusive, and adaptable—making every player feel seen and valued. The world they built felt alive, and their NPCs had real depth. I always looked forward to game night! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a thoughtful, imaginative, and professional GM.

Preparing for the session

The game will be run on both Role [for all play materials] and Discord [for audio/video], so a free account will be necessary. Also a decent mic will be a must, with a video camera being optional. I understand that not everyone is comfortable being seen on camera, and I will leave it up to you if you choose to use video. All dice rolls will be handled with Role's sheets and built-in dice roller.
