About the adventure

A one-shot for level 10 adventurers. Gazre-Azam's Predicament. Gazre-Azam has been trapped in the book for many years. When the book is opened, it releases small, wispy clouds that form into the shape of Gazre-Azam's head. The djinni speaks to any character willing to listen and asks for their aid. Gazre-Azam was summoned by Zikran, a water genasi wizard, and bound to the book. Zikran wanted the djinni to teach him how to make elemental devices, with the ultimate goal of building a floating castle fortress. For some time, the djinni served the wizard. Hoping to earn his freedom, Gazre-Azam shared much of his knowledge, but the wizard would not release him. When Gazre-Azam changed tactics and became less helpful, Zikran cast a complicated and near-permanent spell to keep Gazre-Azam from escaping. The djinni reveals that the only way to free him is for Zikran to end the enchantment willingly or for Zikran to be killed. Repeatedly and desperately, yet still with a noble manner, Gazre-Azam asks for the characters' aid. In exchange, he offers the characters one free casting of a wish spell.

Character creation

Creating your character

We are using the "Elite Array" for starting character ability scores, instead of "standard array" or "point buy." Elite Array is as follows- 17,15,13,12,10,8. All WotC material is approved. If you want to use some UA, just bring it up to me, I will probably approve. I would just like a heads up. Multiclassing and feats are fine if you’re into that kind of thing. 400 additional starting gold, to be spent on any extra armor, weapons, or equipment from chapter 5 of the Players Handbook. No mounts or vehicles will be necessary for this adventure. Spellcasting Players are expected to be aware of the spells they select, and any costly components will need to be purchased with the starting gold provided before the game. Magic Items Each player has 5 points to use towards what magic items or additional starting gold it wants for their character. The points work as follows. 1 point for a common magic item, or 500 gold pieces 3 points for an uncommon magic item 4 points for a rare magic item No artifacts are permitted. Do keep in mind that each character only has 3 attunement slots.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have a character built and ready before the game starts. I will be available before the game if anyone needs help with anything. You need to have a working microphone and headset. Dnd Beyond is not required, but totally fine if you want to use it.
