About me
I am an experienced player & gm. I have a culinary background, and have recently transitioned into a cushy day job. The new job has afforded me nights and weekends off work. I have been spending plenty of my free time playing in more games. I joined startplaying.games hoping to meet new people excited about the hobby that are looking for a fun game.
GM Style
Fast & lose. Main focus is making sure everyone enjoys the game. I don't implement homebrew into the one-shot's I run, as most of the time we are all playing together for the first time. However, for long-term campaigns we will have a discussion of any homebrew the players want to use during session 0. I've really enjoyed running "mini-campaigns." They are epic adventures that require more than a one-shot to conclude. Usually 3-5 total sessions. I run a large number of different one-shots that I'll post in "Find Games." Though if you and or a group of friends want request a specific time, date, and adventure I am certainly able to do that. One shots I run with brief descriptions - "Kandlekeep Dekonstruktion." Its a quarky adventure within the massive candlekeep library. - "Let's Fight the Whipsered One." Level 20, explore a lost tower, solve the mysteries with-in, & epic boss fight. - "Wild Sheep Chase." Whimsical quest to help a desperate sheep. - "Zikran's Zephrean Tome." Help a djinni free themselves in exchange for a WISH. - "Hunt for the Thessalhydra." Stranger Things starter set. Perfect for new players. - "Prisoner 13." Breaking into the infamous Revel's End prison. - "Gold for Fools & Princes." Political intrigue and rescue mission.

Knows the Rules
I've joined several of Andrew's sessions and always had a great experience. For beginners, he's very communicative and open to answering any questions you may have / helping with character building / etc. Since the first session, I've done another one-shot with him and a mini-campaign and they've all been great experiences. His encounters are always really well balanced and each session always feels like a challenge with a great pay-off at the end.
Andrew was really helpful, supportive, was great at developing a fantastic story. I had never used Roll20 or any other VTT before, nor used Discord for voice calls, Andrew was patient, gave clear instructions and when necessary helped to sort out any issues. The campaign was fun, well developed, and had a good pace. There were a range of encounters including combat, puzzles, skill based challenges and opportunities to roll play.
