I joined one of Beardy's games a few months back now on a whim, wanting to have a chance to meet new people at a table, and get more experience with Pathfinder as a system. I've not regretted that choice a single day since. Beardy is the kind of GM most people dream of. Kind, funny, very skilled at storytelling, and flexible when it comes to his players and providing an experience as close as possible to what they're looking for. I've had the joy of being able to do all sorts of silly things, alongside getting to feel cool and heroic, and have the comfort of knowing that I'm supported both by Beardy and the table space he helps cultivate. He's also been a wonderful teacher, helping me to learn new and interesting things about the system as I play, especially since I'm doing so in a rather high powered game. If I had any one complaint, it's that I didn't find and join one of his games sooner!

Beardy's like the dream DM. He loves what he does, and he does it very well. He leaves A LOT of freedom to his players, and he's able to adapt to anything they come up with. Your choices will matter. He's also kind of an expert at running foundry, which makes playing pathfinder 1e a lot easier. And finally, he's an all around great guy.

If you are unsure about where to start with a massive and scary system like PF1e Beardy is the person to start with. I came in knowing next to nothing about PF1e and Beardy helped me grasp the rules while still able to fully immersive myself in the worlds and narratives he was describing. Even with large parties of usually 5-6 players there was plenty of room for individual side quests and goals to be established.

How to prepare
Voice comms over discord and ability to connect to a foundry server. Please have a decent microphone. Aside from the basics, bring a sense of adventure and a positive attitude.
