About the adventure

Under raging storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. The Count stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold, bitter wind spins dead leaves about him, billowing his cape in the darkness. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind's howling increases as Strahd turns his gaze back to the village. Far below, yet not beyond his ken, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd's face forms a twisted smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they have come - all according to his plan. He, the master of Ravenloft, will attend to them. Another lightning flash rips through the darkness, it's thunder echoing through the castle's towers. But the image is gone. Only the howling of the wind - or perhaps a wolf - fills the midnight air.

Character creation

Creating your character

The Session 0 will cover everything about character creation, but you are welcome to familiarize yourself with the character creation process in advance through the materials that I will send you before our session. I also have at your disposal pre-generated easy-to-play characters that wont overwhelm your gameplay and are perfect for starters while still being strong.

The current party

You do not need to buy Talespire. Our current party has: a Rogue (Assassin), a Barbarian (Bear Totem), a Cleric (Forge Domain) and a Paladin (Oath of Vengeance).

Safety

How Luiz Fernando creates a safe table

This game focuses on heavy roleplay and tactical combat. The story emphasizes dialog and investigation, resolved through roleplay and dice rolls. The combat encounters will contain intelligent enemies, challenging terrain, obstacles and walls, flying creatures, hidden enemies and even time pressures as part of the challenge. Being set in the Medieval Dark Ages, a part of our pre-game discussion will include triggers and content warnings. I will also regularly check in, to make sure everyone is doing well and having fun.
