About me

Long time DM, love telling a story in a world built from the ground up, with different history, gods, and goddesses, and not your typical D&D world! Come help save a dying world from a war long past history!

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will start at 5th level, Very generous stats 1d6 added to base 12, MAX HP every level, need at least one player playing a human, an elf, and a full-blooded orc, other races must be approved unless from the base D&D races from the PHB. All players will start with a +1 weapon or armor of player choice and a masterwork weapon or armor (ex: +1 long sword, MW chain shirt, OR MW long sword and +1 chain shirt), plus 2000 GP to buy literally everything else, pending DM approval.

The current party

Prepare for a thrilling adventure in a high fantasy world where you will travel through time to correct fractures in a timeline that a deadly disease has destroyed. You will uncover the mystery of the plague that wiped out most of humans hundreds of thousands of years ago, delving deep into the blood war among the orc clans, the journey and investigation of the valley of the ancients, and experiencing the history of your world firsthand! But, don't be fooled. The stability of a timeline is questionable. Going back in time to "fix" something may cause a chain of events to happen. As the player, you will be distant descendants of the original heroes that saved the world and thrust back into history. It is up to you to find out what's causing these disruptions and end it. Get ready for an exciting journey through time, where you will learn your world's history firsthand, and meet key people in history that shaped your world as you know it. Don't hesitate, step up and embark on this incredible adventure!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A webcam is not required, but a mic will be required. character sheets must be written up on roll20 or a similiar "sharing" site for the DM to be able to view at any given time.

What Lady Sarlon brings to the table

For the most part everything will be a "theater of the mind", but in combat screen shots or webcam from DM showing minifigures on a battle mat will be used. Dice rolling will be on a bot on discord for use during sessions.

Safety

How Lady Sarlon creates a safe table

Session 0 will comprise mostly of paperwork (going over character sheets, explaining how the world works as well as history and lore, etc). Here we will discuss any triggers for players and go over some built-in house rules of my world (wizards/sorcerers and clerics mostly). I encourage the creative use of spells and equipment to enact non-acts of violence (if and where possible). I do however try and actively balance a heavy role-play session with a combat session, but straight violence is not always the best answer to the solution.
