The Sphinx and the Treasure Hunters – level 8 Uncaged one-shot
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | One-Shot
About the adventure
Listen—close, now, come on over. Plundering the ancient dead ain't for the faint of heart. If you're the sort who takes pride in honest work, you just go on and stick to your ox and plow. If it's glory you're after, explore someplace far-off and write a book. But riches? Well, friend, you got two options. Either you're born into it, or you take it for yourself—and between the dead and the living, when stuff goes missin', it ain't hard to figure which one will put a bounty on your head and which one won't. Trouble is, the dead also don't really bother to get new stuff when it's gone. That means you gotta get there first—or be better than the last gal who tried. And I got a line for ya, if you'd like to hear it. No, friend, this little tidbit won't cost you a copper—just don't forget who told you all about it when you strike it big. Well, hold on now, I ain't done tellin' ya—'course there's a reason this particular tomb ain't been got to yet. Others have tried their hand, y'see, that they have. There's a big beastie watchin' over the place—cunning, quick, mighty. But look at'cha! You're stronger'n the rest of—what's that? Just how many others have tried? Well... The Sphinx and the Treasure Hunters is an adventure from volume III of the critically-acclaimed Uncaged adventure anthology. Every character has a story—even the monsters. Uncaged subverts the tropes of female monsters from real myth and folklore, and re-tells these stories interactively in D&D.

How will character creation work
Characters will be level 8, with the general premise of being treasure hunters. Completed character sheets should be brought to the game. In-depth backstories are not required for this particular game—a set of traits, ideals, bonds, and flaws ought to be enough, as long as your character is willing to work together with others. A selection of pre-made characters is also available to choose from in Roll20.
