About the adventure

A Monster of the Week Game set in a traveling carnival of entertainers. Hunters will take the role of workers in a carnival that specializes in hiding and moving "monsters" around the country without being caught. Not all "monsters" are really monsters, but rather displaced creatures in an unfamiliar environment. That's not to say some Monsters aren't truly Monsters and might need special handling. Plenty of room for moral ambiguity and decisions in the moment.

About me

I'm a LGBTQ+ Neurodivergent GM who loves to tell strong, narratively driven stories. Humor and serious tones welcome! I've run games for nearly 15 years, and I've been playing for over 20 years. I love working with players to bring about fun, satisfying stories that meet a fulfilling conclusion.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will occur during the session zero, so we can discuss who the characters are, who they should be, and how they fit in with the setting.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a mic, a webcam would be preferred, but not mandatory. An understanding of Michael Sands' Monster of the Week is optimal, but not necessary. Bring to the session 0 an idea of a character, and how they will fit into a standard supernatural esque game.

What Mr. Ray brings to the table

I will bring an environment to play in, on my own dedicated discord server.

How Mr. Ray creates a safe table

I will send out a questionnaire to get a list of lines and veils from players so I can compose a document of lines and veils from the players. A Session 0 will talk about the setting and where we would like our story to go, and specifically where we would not like it to go. Players may message me in game if they would like to avoid a topic as it comes up in game, or simply use the X,N, O method. We will also utilizing "pausing" and "rewinding" and "Fast forwarding" options.
