About the adventure
ENLIST IN THE WAR OF THE LANCE March to war against the Dragon Armies in this adventure for the world’s greatest roleplaying game. Takhisis the Dragon Queen has returned to the world of Krynn. Across the land, her armies of fanatical draconians wage a brutal war of conquest. As the Dragon Armies march on the unprepared nation of Solamnia, only the defenders of the city of Kalaman stand in their way. But the Dragon Armies want more than just to crush their foes. An ancient evil in the Dragon Queen’s service seeks a magical weapon that could dominate Krynn for all time. Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen is a tale of conflict and defiance set during the legendary War of the Lance. Create characters from Krynn, the world of the Dragonlance setting, then march them to the front lines of battle against the terrifying Dragon Armies. This campaign provides character creation rules highlighting core elements of the Dragonlance setting, including the kender race and new backgrounds for the Knight of Solamnia and Mage of High Sorcery magic-users. Also introduces the Lunar Sorcery sorcerer subclass with new spells that bind your character to Krynn's three mystical moons and imbues you with lunar magic. Currently seating for this new campaign. How to prepare
Please respect your fellow players and your DM. I would ask that everyone acts friendly towards each other and gives others an equal chance to share the spotlight. Please collaborate with your fellow players and with your DM. You will receive an invite to the Discord server. My server, named Gods of Men, has a long running group chat that all are welcome to contribute to. There will also be an exclusive channel for this individual game that you will be invited to after joining. Please follow the rules for the channel, going against the rules may have your post removed. You should, at the very least, have a basic understanding of the 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons rules. I am also happy to teach as we go with new players. You should be punctual and give sufficient notice to the best of your ability if you are unable to attend a game. This notice is at least 1 hour before the game commences so I have time to adjust encounters if necessary. If you are late please let us know as well. We will wait a couple of minutes past the start time for you to arrive, but if you have not arrived by then, we will begin the session. Please join when you arrive and if we are already in combat you will join at the start of the following combat round. You should cooperate with other players and the DM and not disrupt the flow of the game. You should not be rude or disruptive. You should remain engaged while playing. Please don't play other games or multi task while playing, other players and myself will be giving their undivided attention and you are expected to as well. If you are constantly being reminded what is going on because you are not paying attention, I might message you to see what's going on and see if we can resolve the issue. Let the table know if you go AFK please. You should update and maintain your character sheet in an honest fashion to the best of your ability. The DM will check character sheets from time to time and may make any adjustments necessary, however the DM will not be required to level your character up for you or maintain your resources. You should have a headset or a mic with good sound quality and a stable internet connection . You should try your best to avoid background noise by setting discord to push to talk or muting yourself. If constant background noise is issuing forth from your microphone, you will receive a friendly reminder in discord or over the voice channel. To save yourself embarrassment, please consider this. Please avoid using laptop speakers as they are the bane of my existence. If a player is directly and deliberately abusive or discriminates myself or another player, they will be promptly removed from the game after careful consideration and given a permanent ban and any outstanding payments for the session may not be refunded. This is to ensure everyone plays in a fun environment. There is a zero tolerance policy for this kind of behavior.
What I provide
I started playing D&D almost 20 years ago. I discovered D&D when my friend Chauncey introduced me to AD&D in 2003. My first character was a dual wielding berserker. This was in the early years of high school and I became instantly addicted. I would often DM for my friends and spent my weekends pouring over my D&D books while drawing maps and writing campaign stories, nothing has changed since then. I Joined roll20 at the end of 2016 when another friend of mine from school introduced me to the platform. I started running paid games in July 2016 and have evolved and developed my skills as a DM since then. I recently had ran games of D&D 7 days a week for many years but I have a 2 year old son and a newborn daughter now so I have cut it back to 6 days. I take Sunday off, which is Saturday for you if you are in the states. I like to stick to the rules as much as possible when running published modules. I also like to practice voices for NPC's and love writing stories and building worlds in my numerous homebrew campaigns. I own almost every piece of published content by WoTC for D&D 5E and also many other resources such as Tome of Beasts by KFC as well as countless maps, tokens, handouts etc. I devote a lot of my time and energy to D&D and to create the best experience possible for my players. I have developed my games on Roll20 for several years now. My discord channel is full of active players, many that have been with me for years. You are welcome to join the channel and ask anyone in the group chat if you have doubts of the quality of my games. I also have a Youtube channel called "SebDM' where there are thousands of hours of my games streamed to check out. Thorough understanding of D&D 5th editions game engine, including all classes and races features and traits, spell duration, range and effects as well as lore for characters and monsters alike, without much need for reference. Full Roll20 compendium including most official published material from Wizards of the Coast. Voice acting for NPC's. Light hearted sense of humor. Most sessions are filled with hilarity and laughing is encouraged. DM'd for hundreds of different players and have catered to many different play styles. Over 50 active players in my discord channel at any given time. You are welcome to join and see for yourself, provided you follow the channels rules. Provides fast and efficient combat while narrating in detail. Over 17,000 hours logged on Roll20. I have ran literally thousands of sessions on Roll20 and completed dozens, if not hundreds of campaigns, from start to finish. Consistent streamer of certain games, you can check out my Youtube channel to see many recorded sessions :) My Youtube channel is called "SebDM." Gameplay details
Dozens of maps, handouts, tokens and other resources added to the base Roll20 module to enhance the experience. A unique experience from a pro DM that has been running paid games on Roll20 since 2017. A brand new homebrew mass combat war system that incorporates scenarios from the Heroes of Krynn board game. This campaign is expected to take 12 months to complete. I have run many campaigns from level 1-20 and I am often inspired to continue the campaign past the level obtained in this module. Campaign Setting: Dragonlance Starting Level: 1 Finishing Level: 11+ We are using standard D&D 5E rules with no variants from the DM's guide except a few rules explicitly used in this module. We are using all variant rules from XGE. We are using magic items from the module. Specific rules beat general rules. We will always be using the most updated understanding of the rules as written. A few minor house rules are also used which the rules themselves don't account for. Any unclear rules will be left to DM fiat, likely towards the players favor.

How will character creation work
The entire first chapter of this campaign is devoted to character creation and there is a heap of information inside the game for you. Here are the basic mechanical guidelines so you know what you are working with prior to joining. All classes, class features, feats and spells from the Players Handbook, and the following books is permitted: Elemental Evil Player’s Companion. Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse. Tasha's Cauldron of Everything: Chapter 1: All optional class features, subclasses and feats. Chapter 3. Spells, magic items and Magic Tattoos. (This does not include custom lineage). Additional unique options are also presented for this campaign. We are not using variant human however each character gets 2 bonus feats anyway! Races of Krynn Only the following playable races are available for this campaign set in the world of Krynn: Dwarves, Elves, Half-Elves, Gnomes, Humans, Minotaurs, Kender. The following races are also available but seen as monstrous to societies found in this campaign: Ogre (Use Orc), Goblin, Hobgoblin. No Homebrew content and Unearthed Arcana. This is non-negotiable, sorry. You cannot use any templates from the Monster Manual (Lyconthrope, Vampire, etc) either. We will be using Roll20 OGL character sheets. Your character will be the same level as the rest of the party. The starting level of this campaign is 1 and will see your character reach level 11 by the end of this module. A character sheet will be provided once you have joined the game. Your character should be complete prior to your first session. Ability scores are selected using 27 point buy OR standard array. If a character is voluntarily retired and a new character is made, they will only have the option to use standard array. Characters will begin with standard starting equipment. In addition you will be given magic items based on your starting level determined by the DM. You can not choose items that alter ability scores for starting equipment. Additional gear will be determined after your character is completed. Hit Points are taken as average rounded up as expressed in the PHB. If your character is not complete at least 1 hour before the session commencing, unfortunately, you will not be able to play, you will have to join next week. I incorporate a character meaningfully in to a campaign and that affects the story. Don't forget to provide artwork for your character or a token. Character Backstory. This is what your character did before they became an adventurer. It should not contain any kind of plot hook as this might clash with existing lore. Before beginning the adventure, contemplate where and how your character lives, where they grew up and where they have ties to. Your character doesn't need to be specific for the campaign or rooted in the story. I recommend creating a character based on whatever you will enjoy the most.
