About the adventure
If you are looking for - a slightly more serious role-playing experience - a dark and gothic theme - the best online tools - immersive soundscape - a DM that loves role-playing and is not playing against you you have come to the right place. It's time to bite that garlic and venture forth! The game is Curse of Strahd with small improvements to tie the story better together and making the adventure more meaninful. In this game, the characters are a group of fresh adventurers who find themselves trapped in the land of Barovia and have no other choice but to try to defeat the tyrant of the land, vampire lord Strahd von Zarovich. The game has emphasis on role-playing. Players don't need former experience of D&D or virtual table top.
Party is on level 9 and you'll be starting on level 9 as well. We have a cleric, a monk, a warlock, a barbarian and a fighter rogue. We have been playing since the beginning of the campaign but we are now looking for a player who could get easily up to speed and enjoy the end-game with us. The party is in the Amber Temple and on a time limit. There might be around 10 sessions left.

The GM does a great job balancing story, combat, and player choices. Everything was well-prepared but also flexible when we went off the rails (which happened a lot), and he always found a way to keep things moving without shutting down our ideas. The world felt thought-out and alive, and the NPCs were actually interesting to talk to — not just quest givers. Combat was challenging without being overwhelming, and there were always something cool or unexpected around the corner Thank you Jane! :)

i have played D and D for 10 plus years and i think this is one of the best DM's I've had. He managed to keep a good pace for the campaign and encouraged character development for the Players and NPC. The enemy combat patterns he tries to attack while keeping the mob INT score in mind. It was fun, I would play with them again.

Have been a part of one of Jane's ongoing adventures, joining later on in the story. They worked with me to create a logical and engaging entry point for my PC, taking my input into account for backstory and character to create the best option. Each session has been entertaining, with well realized locales, well-acted and fleshed-out NPCs, and a robust tabletop system that allows the game to flow well. Jane does an excellent job in allowing his players to inhabit their characters and roleplay their actions, and has been consistently helpful and reliable when the players are learning new mechanics. Looking forward to more sessions, and continuing the adventure with Jane!

Jane Raw is an awesome DM. Excellent storytelling, awesome visual aids that immerse you, and great music as well. He has a good pace for story telling, allows for RP, and combat is really fun. I cannot say enough good things about him. Definitely give him a shot

How to prepare
You need - A good computer or a laptop with a good internet connection. - A webcam, a mic and headphones. - Discord installed and working. - Account in D&D Beyond. (no subscribtion needed)
What I provide
I will bring the Curse of Strahd module and the core rule books. I will bring my changes to the module, which make the game more meaningful and unique. I will bring the access to FoundryVTT which will be our main platform for the games. I will also bring ambient soundscape and my own voice acting.
Gameplay details
We will start (just you and me) by having about 30 minute session zero in Discord and create the characters. This will serve as session 0. We will get you situated with the online tools and I will give you instructions on how to create your character. The game will be relatively slow pace and not every session might have combat at all. I expect you to role-play your character and be satisfied with the slow pace. I also expect commitment and wish to see you at the table regularly.

How will character creation work
The players create a 3rd level character in D&D Beyond after the session zero. I will give the players instructions on how to create the character. Multi-classing is allowed. You may only choose from the classes and races of Player's Handbook, Elemental Evil, Dungeon Master's Guide and Xanathar's Guide to Everything. I will send you a message in startplaying.games after approving your request and we can then book session 0 which we will have (just you and me) in Discord.
