About the adventure
👑 Rule openly as a vampire, masquerade as an old god or new saint, or make puppet kings of your blood-addicted ghouls. 🏹 Protect your lands and people from other vampires, the monsters of the wild, and other supernatural denizens. 🩸 Expand your control across villages and cities, allying yourself with like-minded Kindred You gather with other vampires, your Kindred, in London to discuss what you will do. Rome falls and so does the Camarilla, the former leaders of the vampires. No longer beholden to their rules, you can do as you wish. Some advocate to keep as you have been for centuries; others want to rule over the humans, gathering them like cattle; some wish to delve into the nature of their Beast, learning the sorceries and powers forbidden to them until now. It is your decision how you will move forward and handle the consequences when allies turn to rivals, your friends becoming enemies. It is 384 CE and Rome has left Britannia, withdrawing her Legions back home to fight the rising threat of the Germanic barbarians, creating a power vacuum. The stability of Rome made travel easy and the night life of even the small provincial places made hunting even easier for vampires. Now the wealthy flee the growing cities and the poor return to rural villages and fields. The raiders from the north and west return to pillage and plunder without the protection of the Roman Legions. Local warlords, foederati commanders, Roman governors, and local tribal leaders push for power, changing life, and unlife, as everyone knows it.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I run the Occultists Anonymous Actual Play team, you can find us on YT, Twitch, and podcast apps. You can see me run some games there for an audience. I've decided to start hosting some games to break out from my normal group of folks, to teach some of my favorite systems, and to experiment with new chronicles and campaign ideas. I like to teach mechanics, so if you're unsure about a system, I'm happy to help you learn it. While I'm happy to be your GM, I also want you to leave my games feeling comfortable enough with the system that you could run it yourself! I've written some homebrew things for the Storyteller's Vault/DriveThruRPG and been published by The Onyx Path.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will be finalized at Session Zero. You can plan your character out based on the standard rules presented in the VtR 2e core book, though there is no Carthian Movement to join. Use of the Requiem for Rome and other supplements will be handled on a case-by-case basis. At Session Zero we will also establish relationships and background characters that are important in your un-lives. Ghoul characters may be considered. Other supernatural beings are unlikely to be accepted.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a working mic that can transmit clearly. A webcam is highly recommended but not required. Character sheets are set up in Roll20 and must be kept updated as the "official record". Dice rolling is already handled in Roll20 so no dice are needed at home. Please be familiar with the concepts of Vampire: The Requiem but there is no expectation that you will be fully versed in the rules of the game.
What Drew brings to the table
I will provide the Roll20 Pro subscription which allows me to share the core book and other PDF supplements. I have historical maps to provide inspiration for where we will set our scenes as well. I have several arcs planned to provide the skeleton of our adventures together across 400 years of history, and together we'll add flesh and blood to our story!

How Drew creates a safe table
I will provide a consent form to establish Lines and Veils for all players. There's a lot of R-rated and tougher content we can cover, we will only do so with the comfort of everyone in mind. This is about being vampires, not acting like monsters! We'll discuss these in Session 0 collectively. Midway through every session we'll take a short break to step out of character, move, care for your body, all that stuff. At the end of session, we'll discuss Stars and Wishes, as well as update character Aspirations. For actual gameplay, the focus is on storytelling and narrative. There is a central narrative, following the historically inaccurate tale of Britannia through the birth of England after the arrival of the Vikings in the Great Heathen Army. As vampires, there's easy controls for time skips, long term plots being handled in a single session, then focusing down on the events of a single night when things get intense.
