About the adventure

Welcome new travelers! Adventure awaits on small mining settlement along the Sword Coast called Phadanlin. Complete quests, help new friends, and defeat the dragon that has been preying on the nearby towns. This adventure is an official D&D 5E adventure, and is specifically made for new players to learn the ins and outs of D&D. In this adventure you can expect around 12 sessions (around 2-5 hours long) with more session if the party so chooses.

About me

Hi! I'm a fairly new GM who's only been playing for a little over 3 years, and GMing for only 1. However, in that time I've learned to really love TTRPGs, and picked up a few tricks on how to run a game. First thing you should know is that I really love physical props that my players can hold. I make letters, weapons, and even minifigs if need be. I'm more familiar with DND 5e, but I've been slowly growing my collection of games. If you need a GM for your game please reach out and we can see if it's a good fit!

Character creation

Creating your character

Each player will start off as level 1, with whatever class and race they choose (provided you have access to all the information you need for said character, and preferably the ability to make it on dndbeyond). These characters can be made prior to session 0 or during session 0. I do ask that you write out your backstory as well to make roleplay more fun and immersive. If you have questions feel free to reach out.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The only thing you need to have prepared at the beginning of each session is your character sheet, dice, and stuff to take notes with. Other than that the rest is up to you!

What Jessie Schwartz brings to the table

I will bring not only the adventure book and the core rulebooks, but additionally, any props, maps, character sheet printouts, and, if we're meeting in person, DICE!!!!

Safety

How Jessie Schwartz creates a safe table

During session 0 we will discuss as a group which safety tools we wish to implement. Whichever tools are chosen, each player will receive either a PDF of said tool, or we can discuss how we'd like to implement the tool into the game. Individual and group comfort is extremely important, and there's no reason for any player to feel uncomfortable when they're playing a game.
