Using the exciting Essence20 Roleplaying System, you'll create a brand-new teenager with attitude! The time-hopping action starts with an attack on the Earth from an unknown space alien Threat, thought to be contained for eons! Once they've been defeated, you'll see just how much crazier things can get when time starts to go haywire and powerful relics of the Morphin Grid are scattered throughout time itself!

About me
A writer, poet, and anthropologist, I love to introduce new players to the fantastical worlds I grew up in and love even more building new worlds with players of all experience levels (including no experience!) DMing is a passion of mine, something I am always striving to improve at: the physical world around me is littered with sourcebooks, notebooks, guides, print-outs, Post-Its, dice, half-painted miniatures, and other paraphernalia related to this incredible hobby. All of my games are LGBTQ+ friendly, and my tables are safe spaces where everyone is welcome, so long as they believe that everyone is welcome.

Creating your character
Characters will be created at (or before) session 0, and a comprehensive Session 0 will be performed, including theming concepts and costume designs. Characters will start off at Level 0, without a chosen Role or associated Perks applied. By the end of that scenario, all playable characters will have their Power Rangers Role and we will begin to play the "Adventures in Angel Grove" adventure module! Players joining after Session 0 will match level with the rest of the team. I will work with players over SPG and/or Discord leading up to their first session to build their characters and create power sets and weapons for them.
We currently have 🔶 Orange, 🩷 Pink, 🟣 Purple, ⭕ Red, and ⭐ Yellow Rangers! All other Ranger Roles are allowed (🟩 Green is retired, however), and even Roles from other Essence20 releases are possible! 📅 Sessions every other Sunday! 📚 Our ongoing mission is to stabilize the timeline after a rogue fourth-dimensional being has begun stirring up trouble with powerful Grid Relics!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players would be advised to have a mic available for use with Role, but text chat accommodations are allowed. Having read up on the Essence20 or other d20-based games will help the players but isn't necessary. A free Role account will be necessary (http://app.playrole.com/).
What Gerald brings to the table
I bring pre-made adventures from Renegade Game Studio and will eventually transition into bespoke adventures created specifically for the group; some will be based off of episodes of the Power Rangers TV shows, while others will be completely original, featuring original characters and situations. Additionally, I bring with me a gaming community full of great weirdos. My Discord channel is full of fun people who love gaming in all its forms and fun conversations take place daily. We also run Community Events every month to bring new experiences to the table!

How Gerald creates a safe table
This game contains fantasy violence. Characters are "defeated", but no death occurs. Content warnings are non-comprehensive, due to the nature of a bunch of people coming together to hang out together while playing a game. If something comes up that makes you uncomfortable, there are many ways you can make that known, including X-Cards and Lines & Veils. You will never be expected or pressed to share your trauma history with anyone else at the table; simply saying "X this" is enough to change direction of the session.
