About the adventure

Visit the forlorn shores, frozen caves, and abandoned keeps of the great north. Icewind Dale is a horror/survival game set in the frigid North where players have the chance to prove themselves in the domain of the goddess of Winter or die trying. In this adventure, you can expect to: • Explore frozen towns barely scraping by and a winter that does not seem to end. • Discover secrets lost to humankind, while fighting enemies that few have seen. • Investigate mysteries to discover ancient magics and forbidden secrets. • Be prepared to have the time of your life in this chilling module! How to prepare

You'll need a mic, discord, and a Roll20 account. (Don't worry, it's free!) Previous Dungeons and Dragons experience is not required, but players can prepare by familiarizing themselves with basic gameplay concepts and rules for character creation.

What I provide

I have the adventure module, a copy of the core rules for DnD, and a love Icewind Dale as a setting. Players can expect an experience tailored to their playstyle, with custom magic items thrown in as the cherry on top! After you sign up, I'll send a link to the game and all you need to do is log on to have access to everything.

Gameplay details

Rime sometimes touches on grim themes, but the game is about finding hope and beauty in the most unexpected places. My goal is to explore those darker theme in a manner that is safe and accessible to the player, while not being overly graphic in the details. I've included a list of content warnings below. It's likely many of these will not appear during our play, but I want everyone to be prepared. If you have an explicit trigger, please let me know. I take my players' mental health seriously.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be handled during session zero. Characters will be made on roll20. We will use standard array. Most race and class options from official sources are okay. I'll be on-hand to help anyone who needs it. We will also discuss character stories, themes, and connections.
